It's my lowest rib on the left side so I'm not completely restricted pain wise. Press doesn't hurt it at all, neither does benching with a flat back so at least I can still hit those.

Yeah, i'm a puss.

I gave weight lifting a go, but have always found it to be a bit of a chore, and found it hard on my body aggrevating previous injuries while making me really sore and sleepy at work.

I find myself better suited to endurance/aerobic sports.

Ok.. calm down on the weights then. Have you ever tried Crossfit?

If you like endurance.. You want a change... Crossfit is for you and on top of that it includes weights but in a different way.

Yeah yeah, i know about crossfit.

It is appealing in a way, and i would like to learn the olympic lifts, however, i find crossfit is kind of reckless in its approach.

Might give it a try one day, it's super expensive though.

One of the main reasons i don't like using my weights at home is because of my lack of space. If i had more space, a bench, and high ceilings, i would reconsider.

Yea i dont have the body size to ever do something like that.

On another topic. I have been pretty much peaked on my bench for months now. I simply cannot progress in it at all. I also have not been able to pass my standing overhead press PR in a long time.

I have however PRed in my front and back squat in the last 2 months every time.

Any ideas?

Are you benching with a spot?? That's the first thing you need to make some good progress.

I got stuck on bench a bit ago and got through it by doing Tricep assistance exerscies. Mainly Floor presses and press downs. No idea if you already do isolation or not but weak tri's could be the problem. Could also be a technique issue. Or perhaps you just need to eat/sleep more.

sadly i re-aggravated my shoulder right before christmas. Gotta take a month off atleast.

I just barely started to hit all the goals i made when i was like 15 too. finally got to a 225 bench and 45 dbell curl.

still around 175 lb bench with no spot looking to hit 200 lb at least by the end of the yr :megusta:
