Yeah I learned my lesson the hard way when I was like 18. Was benching around 200 and I couldn't get it off my chest. Took pretty much all my willpower to keep it off me, and barely got it off, scared the hell out of me and I never have done a heavy bench by myself again.

Today was one of those days where you get home from work and you just know that you're TOO tired to complete your workout.... Just not enough energy.
...so you stuff your face with food, pass out, and wake up at 8:30 to CRUSH THAT WORKOUT.
And now I can smile big.

My one rep hasn't gotten high enough to not be able to roll it off of me when I fail.

I have been hitting almost every muscle group consistently but have noticed some faster developments in my chest and back compared to arms shoulders ect any tips on catching them up with my other muscle groups for say a symmetric appearance without losing gains??

Fuck symmetry. Lift with proper form and all muscles associated with that lift will grow respectively. Lift lighter weight high reps after you lift big and your smaller muscles will be too fatigued, but lift high volume at the beginning and you'll use those large muscles as you go up in weight cuz the small ones have already gotten beat. That's the theory at least.
Back at the gym for my second week, eating clean and healthy and using amino acids and proteins more, lost body fat and I've put on 8 pounds. My squat is back up to 300+ for reps too, my bench is catching up slowly. I love muscle memory and a good lift buddy.

Good lift today despite a late workout...trying to eat more to increase my muscle mass but keep the fat gain low. It sucks because I just cant get used to the idea of having to eat consistently throughout the day (goods foods that is) and on the opposite end sometimes I eat so little its definitely not helping me get to my goal.

Dammit champ lol. November I'm starting that Smolov again, I'll be posting by December. Hit a PB of 255 front squatting, but every other lift is shit right now. Gotta lose some fat before I hit 270#, not getting fat, but what I did have hasn't been lost as quickly as I wanted. Gonna keep up with the full body stuff until November for sure.

I never stopped lifting just coming off a cut so aside from fat loss I had no new gains to report.

The squat program. That shit made all my gains go up, as well as built size quick. My legs didn't fit my jeans, and my back was ripped, and I lost a bunch of fat. That's the only program I saw gains as good as it claimed even though I didn't follow it to a T, it was tough as shit lol.

thats a pretty impressive weight you got on your bench press. how much can you do with a spoter? the other day i did 105kg for four reps which is great for my standards. my goal is to out bench my friend who has +20kgs on me and takes heaps of roids. he can do 115 for two reps so i'm not far from overtaking him. your crazy for doing that kind of weight without a spoter. when i bench alone i just use the smith machine. people talk all kinds of shit about how smith machines are cheating but they allow you to do a heavy bench without the fear of shattering your osophogus. then when i have a spoter i'm always breaking new ground.

Don't care how big you are, benching alone in a garage without a spotter which happens to be made of metal is a prescription for death.
I'll just leave this here.
Oh, you crushed your ribs in half, have some water, that'll fix it right up.
The smith machine is not going to save you from a nerve twitch or a sudden bone fracture either. Metal bars at your side, or go home (in a box, under the ground).

^that's why I never bench with a thumbless or "suicide" grip. 99% of bench "accidents" are caused by benching thumbless. also, I'm not talking to myself in 2 different voices in the vid due to being mental.

Yeah I'm not hating, don't think anyone is here. Thing is there can always be that one time your tendon(s) decide to give out, rotator cuff, stress fracture makes itself known, etc. Yet another way for this to happen is that you do the Vasalva too hard, pass out from light-headedness and eat an iron sandwich there and then. In some of those cases, the bar happens to be conveniently floating right above your neck making for a nice little decapitation.
Believe me these things take every damn motherfucker by surprise. You got news reports of people dying from 500lbs, you got reports of guys dying from 90lbs. They all say or think the same thing: I'm a badass, I can handle this weight all on my own. Then their wrists snap randomly and bam, that's a write off. Not so much of a badass with half a windpipe, eh. Even if you're using standard grip there is that small chance of mechanical failure. Plan, simple and indisputable. Nobody benches alone in their garage thinking "hmm, today I'll do 405 for 5 and I'll just snap my wrist on the 3rd rep, better get ready to do the roll of safety".

You should not be bench pressing a barbell over your neck or your head in the first place. If you kill yourself bench pressing you are a fucking moron. I've never had one accident benching, neither has anyone I've ever known personally. Also, if you are that fucking worried about it get a power rack and use the fucking catches as they are intended.
