personally, my chest responds better to weighted pushup variations when it comes to shaping, feet elevated/different hand postions etc... I use bench more for tris and shoulders nowadays, seems to hit them quite a bit harder than my chest, with weighted pushups I can really feel my pecs doing the work, especially with feet elevated... and since I've been doing them my bench has really gone up, I was kinda stuck before...
I actually just hit 270 for reps today, that's a PR

Hello SUCKAS!!!! Its been since March that I hurt myself, and now I've got a trip planned next month, so it'll be 7 or 8 months since I've been to the gym lifting. I'm not happy with it, but school is almost out and that's gonna free up time. Gonna try to get in to the gym sooner, so I can at least get my body working again. Prior to the injury, I did a 500# squat 3x. Gonna get back to that, especially now that my buddy is gonna be at it with me. Glad to be back, and you'll see more of me again.

If you fail, don't look at it as you didn't succeed, look at it as you would a rock face you're trying to climb. Stand back, wayyyy back, and look at it and plot another path. If you can't find one, shuffle down the way a little, a little change of scenery or a view from a different angle may give you the insight you need. I did stronglifts for about 12 weeks and saw some great gains in my bench, squat, and deadlift even though I was doing less weight. It's a great program.
However, I'm considering switching to a body weight routine. I have been lifting for years (just to stay in shape), and I think callisthenics will give me more longevity than lifting heavy.

I know im not getting the best work out but I can differently do more weight.
Joined the gym in January after 8 years or so of not working out / opiate addictions. Shit was tough but im coming along nicely . 3 days a week
Lost 20 lbs of fat and gain at least 15 lbs of muscle.
Lastly I have some internal problems with some of the protein powder anyone know of one thats more sensitive on the stomach?

As for protein, go with an egg protein if the milk based (whey and casein) are give you issues. All proteins are gonna give you gas though, so far veggie protein is my worst enemy. If the powders screw you up go natural and eat egg whites, cans of tuna, cottage cheese, or meats.

May I ask why ? I only use it for my squats as I dont have anyone to spot me.

Using free motion for my deadlifts when the two Olympic bars they have are being used. I really need some one to spot me and tell me what im doing wrong I feel on deadlift y form is bad.
On a side not I benched 130 the other day a PR , only 20 more lbs till I get my own body weight.

Because smith machines have a limited range of motion and don't develop stability

Oh and I finally quit shooting dope last week. It was a bitch to get over, Ive been running and stretching daily since then. My tracks are gone, veins healed. Going to be getting my gym memebership back within the next few weeks... I really let myself down this summer. I wanted to get my d/l up to 500lbs, guess I wont be doing that anymore-but atleast im headed in the right direction now...

Guess who's fat bitch ass went to the gym!!!!! sore as a mother fucker too, first time in 5 months, since my injury. Winston, great job man!!! Good to see you've kicked it. As for your dead lifts, do te smolov squat training. Your deads will shoot through the roof. Even if you don't hit 500 by the end of the year, you'll be ecstatic at how much you grow and can lift.
Did a full body yesterday, and will continue with it for another few weeks, gotta get things firing correctly again. I can't walk, can't sit up, can't take a shirt off or put one on, etc and best of all, I love it! I'll be back to a 500 squat within 6 months again, and hopefully I'll have a 400 bench too. New workout partner and new motivation.

so how'd it go? if you tell me you missed it because you were too busy injecting opiates, or decided KB swings target your powerlifting muscles better than powerlifting dose, I will be disappoint.

thanks man. It took every thing inside of me (plus 1mg of lsd) to finally kick that shit. Ive been outside all day for the past week. running, tennis, bball-and I fucking hate bball... School strts next tuesday and I have school all day Monday and Wednesday with an hour of LEC on Tues and Thurs. I moved and now Im a mile and a half away from schoool so I will be walking to and from everyday. Lifting on my light days and weekdnds. I made an appointment to get my poor person ($20/month) YMCA membership back.
Being clean from that fcking heroin and talking so much lsd really made me think and prioritizy my existence. Im looking forward to the rest of this year and the rest of my life... That dope did something to me. It was like I was dead or something. Now I am alive and love it.

That's awesome!!! It sucks it too so much lsd lol god would've been cheaper....about as cheap as that shot I just took at religion lol. Really good to hear you're taking the steps forward you want to, and helping yourself. I bet words can't explain how good it is to know yourself again.
I had a weak sauce day at the gym. Too many things going on to hit it how I should've, but man alive, I'm sore as shit. Walking was tolerable today lol. I feel like a total bitch, but the size is returning quicker than anticipated (2 workouts and my arms are visibly more full). Been taking lots of amino acids and I'm hoping they help, as well as various preworkout supplements and good amounts of protein. Working on cleaning up my diet. Maybe next summer will be my first time ever with a 6-pack, alcohol free (not odouls either) maybe not, but I will have tree trunks for legs.
