I've got a bed that i am trying to sell ontop of weights, so i've just been GTG (grease the groove) pushups ontop of running and cycling...

sets of 20 - 100+ everyday. Definitely seems to be developing my chest at least.

Still a god damned month out, leg is casted. Gonna do what I can to stay active; though my foot kills in this thing. My calf has already shrunk and it's not been a week yet

nice man what do you weigh??...you look like a huge mofo. I would like to start dead lifting but I'm scared I might injure my back or something...it would be nice to have someone show me the proper form and stuff. also my right knee is pretty weak so I'm afraid to squat as well...it sucks because I know those two compound lifts really help you develop muscle and strength.

Only way to strengthen your knee would be squat. Start light and perfect your technique, the weight comes with time.

I like working out at home.  As I have limited space and no ability to bench -- I've really been enjoying dumbbell fly's

Damn, its been awhile since I last posted here.

How is everyone's fitness going?  Champion still deadlifting like a madman I see!  I'm still hitting it hard 4-5 days a week, really happy with the cut this time around as i'm not losing much lean muscle.  Last time was one of those cuts where you lose weight too quick and lose muscle/strength.  I was going crazy on EC with too much cardio for my body type and not enough cal's/fats.  This time around im keeping the fats way higher, almost like a keto (but still eating carbs in the morning and after a workout), not doing direct cardio, and going lighter on the EC, only down like 4lb in a month but i'm way leaner!  I guess it's going through yet another trial and error seeing what works best for your specific body.

Hey all.

I'm having a real good time using weights (i.e. not a Kettlebell).  The workouts are not as hard as the KB (which wrecks you with cardio before your muscles can feel truly exhausted), but I'm enjoying the size and strength gains.

I still haven’t tried KBs yet, but since I will be finishing up a creatine phase here within the next couple weeks, maybe I will try them as I almost certainly would benefit from some variety to my routine during this off phase. Plus, it’s a good time of year to get really lean   Since I know nothing about KB routines, is the physical structure of the KB particularly special, or could you improvise with plates and/or dumbbells since I already have plenty on hand? If not, are they very expensive?

KBs are moderately expensive.  There is something about the way that they're shaped that provided a particular benefit to the user.  Sadly, someone smarter than me would have to explain the specifics (try the Dragondoor forum) but I think it's just that the awkward shape makes your body work harder.

I've seen improvised kettlebells before, used with plates, but I'd feel sketched out just incase the whole thing came apart.  When the KB is original - its impossible for one solid hunk of iron to come apart or break

And yes.  Kettlebells will certainly help you lean out.  One particular regiment of KB use (the V02 MAX snatch protocol, search for it in the Dragondoor forum) has been studied by scientists at some university and equated to running a 4:00 mile or cross-country skiing uphill.  Just the ultimate cardiovascular beating -- plus you're snatching a KB, so your muscles are getting worked.

Its sweet.  KB Snatches are like, the most intense workout that exists (IMO).  They are so taxing, but make you feel like such a beast.
