Hello. Im new to the community and have been having allot of trouble finding shrooms. i used to live in San Antonio were it was easy, just go to the cow field and pick some cubes. but now i live in the Chicago land area, and heard that pans are decently easy to find. i have been having quite a bit of trouble locating any of the such, any suggestions were to look? do corn or bean fields contain these mushrooms? will they grow in the grass on peoples lawns? does it have to be fertilized? How long should i wait after a rain?
Im a noob:)

Yup, if you're still having a hard time after that than chances are you might not be spending enough time looking because where there are horses or well fertilized lawns these or pan foe will be around.

Conocybe species, most definitely. I promise if you post good pictures and include the appropriate information, I can just about guarantee you won't steer wrongly.
