I Talk To The Wind

"I'm on the outside, looking inside, what do I see? Much confusion, disillusion, all around me"
Lots of times when I start into "the" rant with folks, it's kind of amusing to watch them shut down. Literally. But kind of sad too. Like talking to the wind.
Still, having to pretend and behave in a civil manner when civil disobedience is MORE than called for is a bore. Back in the day people took over the buildings (ok for a day but you get the idea). Now everyone just says "well there's nothing you can do about it".
Wrong. I can fucking rant about it and watch the sheeple shut down. Just stay the fuck away from me when you fuckers get hungry after the shit has hit that fan and all you have in the house is some fucking Mountain Dew and a Ring Ding.
For now just sit back and enjoy this masterpiece.

Shutting down is what I do best. So good in fact I am applying to be a nuclear engineer where shut down is needed the most.

I think the disillusionment could end up a good thing personally. The hippy movement really missed a trick by focusing on external and religious matters so much IMO.

Perhaps but as you noted in another thread humans expect comfort above all else. To be disillusioned is to be uncomfortable and to make those around you uncomfortable. Not the best way to live.

Only dropping by to say that King Crimson were geniuses in their own sense of the word.
They also wrote 21st Century Schizoid Man, which I think could apply to what you're saying as well.

There is no comfort in being illusioned, only constant wandering looking for a pile of gold that doesn't exist.

Thank you and yes I agree King Crimson were musical geniuses. A bit dark perhaps but geniuses.

They started off as a folk music band. I once heard one of their early songs and it sounded just like folk music and I believe there was a female singer.
