Apparently even if I am a good person I'm still going to hell

At least that's what the guy who I buy my honey off of told me. Original sin is obviously inherent, but I guess spreading positive energy and feeling compassion for others is not enough to save my soul. What kind of asshole god still condemns his fellow creatures even if they live an honest life? especially while other Christians' minds are so distorted, not even abiding by their scripture in a lot of ways. Many believers I know aren't very kind and generous people.
He may have just lost a customer, but his raw honey is bangbanglicious!

It's obvious to anyone who thinks at all for themselves that there is something mighty stupid about these beliefs and they have a psychological benefit to those believing it.
Outside of that I'd keep buying from the guy because in my experience fools abound and you will find the next one to be full of new agey beliefs that are just as silly if you take the time to look into them.
Anyway that idiots beliefs can't harm you unless you believe them.

Ya if the honey is good i'd still buy it. At least he's doing something good for the world. And maybe hes going through something weird with his beliefs. people cling more tightly to their beliefs and force them on others when they are insecure about their faith, and they're scared. maybe he wont be a Christian or whatever he is next year we are all always evolving.

What I find interesting is the Christians who are smart enough to figure out the PTB want to kill us all yet too dumb not to trust the priest that is telling them lies while fucking their son in the ass every chance they get.

The kind made up by insecure idiots who have no life beyond telling people that only their religion is genuine and everyone else is going to hell.
And unfortunately, you can try to ignore them, but they vote and legislate their morality such that violent thugs with guns and badges can lock you up if your moral code doesn't match up with theirs. See drug laws for details.
-------------------- Republican Values: 1) You can't get married to your spouse who is the same sex as you. 2) You can't have an abortion no matter how much you don't want a child. 3) You can't have a certain plant in your possession or you'll get locked up with a rapist and a murderer. 4) We need a smaller, less-intrusive government.

Welp he said he was a drug addict aged 29 and was about to lose everything. Fiance walked out, truck broken down, life in general just pretty shitty. All he said though was marijuana which makes him pretty weak minded if that is the case. I couldn't help but thinking his belief in God allowed him to pull himself out of the hole he dug for himself, not some omnipotent, all powerful entity.
If only he'd look inward rather than outward. Not my problem though, but the guy wants to give me a bible. I told him I already had a few but he insisted next time I stopped by he'd have one for me. That's why I don't want to go back and hear his spiel. I'm there for one thing, that's your honey, not your faith. It makes me wonder about all of the claims he was making about raw honey and bee pollen after he was telling me "facts" of the bible because some of them were quite outlandish.

New Agers are just as annoying imo, with the one plus that they aren't as judgemental with drug use.
My guitar teacher is really new age and he always tells me the dumbest shit. He gets all of these tattoos in old languages that mean things like "faith" or "power" and he believes that they have magical power.

Are you paraphrasing or did he actually say "magical power"? I think that looking at tattoos can remind you of concepts like willpower or faith and give you strength

Everyone is open to suggestion. Just some more so than others.
That's exactly what happened to the honeyman. He was at such a low point in his life that he was ready to accept anything, and he accepted God, which filled him with the power to make drastic life changes. Of course, I believe God had nothing to do with it; rather, he himself, by believing in some higher power, was able to turn his life around. I guess when you're that low any option is viable and sometimes inner strength is near non-existent, lacking enough energy to stand on two feet alone. So it is a good thing that he believes in God and he was very eager to speak with me about his conversion, though I don't buy it, but he is entitled to his own beliefs and he is living his own life, apparently healthier and happier than ever. It's not often I see Christians that full of love and compassion, or any passerby really. More power to him

Being a Christian, I have found numerous others who claim the same faith; forget to leave the judging to the Lord. No man can rightfully predict who is going to hell.
God also helps those who help themselves.
-------------------- “I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”
