Name an anime, discuss/rate the one above it

Series, movies, whatever. Lets get the ball rolling
Only name one anime at a time so that discussion can go deep and continue long
If you havent seen the anime that the previous poster named dont worry about it, discuss another one
Feel free to discuss any of the movies/series listed not just the one above and give opinions, experiences, ideas, interpretations, whatever:D (in addition to discussing the previous posters anime if you know what it is)
Neon Genesis Evangalion

One at a time, we cant deplete the inventory too quickly
Akira's one of my favorite, the end was so epic. My thought was that tatsuo became the new universe and the old universe became that ball of light that kaneda grasped towards the end. I feel that the end was the most meaningful part, while the beginning was action packed the end went much deeper than some fighting thriller.
Next one: Death Note

I don't understand the rules of this thread, but Neon Genesis Evangelion has the best giant robots in anything, ever, by a factor of over a billion. Shinji was a whining cunt who was such a pussy that he couldn't even see the cool side of PILOTING A LIVING DESTRUCTION MACHINE. And fragments of that show still haunt my subconscious to this day, even though I watched the series over half a decade ago.
Cowboy Bebop is my favorite anime overall.

Cowboy Bebop is also my favorite anime ever.
I don't like other animes that much, to be honest. I used to be a major anime fiend (hence the obsolete Japanese-styled name even though I'm very much white), but I got over it in a big way. I just can't even watch most of it anymore. Cowboy Bebop is one of the few examples of anime that I feel holds real artistic merit.
A recent exception is the Legend of Koizumi.

It was awesome because they were all fucked up in one way or another.
Cowboy bebop is my favorite also, it goes so deep into consciousness, sympathy, being
I love how much of it is implied, things dont need to be said to be connected which leaves the door open for many understandings. It also had the most epic ending to a series I have ever seen. CB introduced the idea of psychedelics to me when I was a kid, MUSHROOMS. All the drug the drug references
The story telling method was amazing, all the beauty to each scene. The camara angles
The movie had one of the most unique villans I have ever seen with such an interesting end of the world plot
2jew: that was hilarious

Cowboy Bebop was kinda boring at the beginning. But right towards the end it got fuckin' epic.
Noir is my favorite. Followed by almost anything by Miyazaki.

Omg Noir, I remember watching that back in the day and really enjoying it but I forget what it's even about now. May have to check it out again.
Miyazaki is good shit too, Princess Mononoke is one of my all time favs.

Never seen those, but I re-watched Princess Mononoke just the other day, for the first time in years and years. It was more of a kids movie than I remembered, but you know what I realized? That movie permanently wired my sexual compass. I just saw it at the right age, and bam, I was done. Now I need to find a girl who rides an ox-sized wolf and sucks the blood out of wounds with her mouth. Thanks a lot Miyazaki! Talk about unattainable standards ...

Never seen noir
Miyazaki has made some of the most epic anime movies iv ever seen
He did a good job of mixing industrialization and magic
Nausica of the valley of the wind is my favorite, she is a fungi cultivator which I can identify with
Spirited Away brings back so many memories of childhood; nostalgia to the point of tears
Grave of the fireflies was well done but oh so depressing, its one of those things that just eats away at my soul on the level of reading 1984
I could never get into Princess Mononoke or My neighbor totoro

The only anime series I've seen in it's entirety is Death Note which I really enjoyed. I'm more into story and character than graphics and action. Any recommendations? I've seen Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood about halfway through, maybe I'll try to find the rest of it.

Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne: The Complete Series
It was streaming on Netflix and came up for some reason. I was very bored that day and wound up watching all 6 hour long episodes. It's about these two immortal lesbian girls who get attacked by men who turn into angels with superstrength that rape the immortal girls. Also, the immortal lesbians are detectives.
I had never watched anime aside from Dragon Ball Z in my elementary days, but I really enjoyed it. It was kind of sexually fucked but at the same time It had a good story, too.

Death note was awesome in that the main character was a complete sociopath, in the end he was revealed for who he truly was. The megalomaniac side of me cant help but wish he had won
Go download the anime listed in this thread, you will have to find what you like
I would definitely recommend Code Geass to anyone who liked Death Note
Here is the first episode to get you started

Noir is about two female assassins, and an illuminati-esk group called Soldats.

I saw a bit of Death Note. I enjoyed it, but never finished it. Don't have cable anymore, so I'd have to stick it in my netflix cue. We get one movie at a time, and we have 60 in the queue already, so it'll be a while.
I've also seen most of Full Metal Alchemist. I was pretty obsessed with it, but then we moved and now I can't watch it. So it's also in my netflix cue, but I doubt I'll get to see it soon.

I watched one episode of Full Metal Alchemist on animefreak, and got a virus that took 15+ hours to get off my computer.
It disabled my computer's ability to go into safemode, disabled my ability to use the internet, disabled my ability to install new virus programs. I'll wait.

I really enjoyed that one when I watched it. But that was when I was much younger. Might watch it again to see if I'm still into it.

All I remember about trigun is that I watched it while waiting for cowboy bebop to come on; also that preacher with a giant gun or gun rack in the shape of a cross. Do they still have either show on adult swim anymore?
Check out Cat Soup, I would have to say it is the trippiest anime iv seen, there are no words. Watch it for sure if your stoned right now. Im posting the entire thing below:

I used to use torrents all the time, but recently it's been kicking me offline every time I try to use it. It gets up to like 800kbs, and then it suddenly stops. And then my whole internet is out. Including my vonage phone.
I use Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes.
And now I have TDSSkiller too, which is what eventually got the virus off my computer. It gets rid of the rootkit viruses which are so hard to get rid of. But the virus recognized the program, and wouldn't let me install it. It was a bitch getting it on my computer. But now that it's on here, I won't have that problem again.

You may have to wipe the hardrive whiles saving essential files online. See if you can reset to factory settings
If you could download torrents I would suggest downloading a new OS, putting it on a disk(you may need something like magic Iso maker), and reconfiguring your computer like that
Im assuming you dont have any backups to a time before the virus
Do you have peerblock? It blocks out adds, spyware, P2P's, and edu by stopping incoming and outgoing signals. Because of it iv never had to deal with spyware.
Are you using utorrent? You could try limiting the bandwidth allocation to 700kbs. That would tell you alot if it works
The virus could have tampered with your network drivers
Once you have torrents working again go download cracked pro versions of AVG antivirus, advanced system care, and zone alarm

I finally got rid of the virus. It just took me about 15 hours. I do have my Windows CD, but I was trying desperately to avoid reinstalling windows, because I have 230 hours of music, several anime series, a showtime series, etc.
I do have backups from before the virus, and that's actually how I finally got rid of it. The virus put itself inside all the backups, so restoring to the backup didn't get rid of the virus. But it did get rid of the changes the virus had made to my computer. This allowed me to start in safe mode and install TDSSkiller.
I've had the problem with torrents since long before the virus though. I use Vuse. Or used.
I didn't get the virus from torrents though, I got it from a website that allows streaming of anime.
But I'm fine now. I have so much stuff to watch already, I'm not really in a hurry. I'm already involved in several different things, so I can wait.
I also think I might be able to get it through the Wii. We just downloaded a Hulu thing on the Wii that's completely free, and lets you watch TV shows. It just has commercials, so that's why it's free. I used it to watch the season finale of House today. I'll have to check if it has Full Metal Alchemist tomorrow.
