Nothing lasts. We'll reach a peak and then it'll be a long descent into annihilation. Whether that takes 10 years or 10000.

I think eventually we're going to turn into a different species, and judging from the last 10,000 years or so it's going to be an agonizing transition.

Humanity as we know it, not a chance.  I agree with Tchan that we're gonna be a different species; just think about all the genes were keeping alive in the gene pool.

Nope. We are rendering this planet inhospitable for ourselves, much like we rendered our last planet.

We are the virus.

Global warming = fever.
MRSA, E. coli, Hepatitis, etc. = antibodies.
(Temporary) Depletion of non-renewables = rest for the host.

Earth was around long before us and will be around long after we are gone.

How could you know we destroyed our last planet (or that humans as a species have ever been on another planet)? Yeah, you don't.

With a wide enough scope, nothing lasts, including humans.  Something will come along and fuck our species in the ass.  Just a matter of time.

Speciation is exceptionally rare.  It's very very very very very very unlikely that we will "turn into" another species and it certainly would take magnitudes of time longer than 10,000 years.  If anything we will genetically "divert" down different phylogenic paths which COULD result in speciation but I doubt it.  Hey, it happened with the great apes and humans at some point.

On the long, long, looooongcat term, nope.
But as others have said, humanity as it exists today will not survive. Either we shape up on our own, or nature will force us to.

i think man kinds aspiration of addiction to violence is ultimately going to set us apart in ways of segregation.

making a evolved species that will ultimately deceive its violently perverse. By manipulation of greed to killing themselves like it has been done throughout history of man.

when the duality of man through fear ceases, then there will be hope for the meek to prosper against tyrannical oppression.

hope as in not buying into fallacies of hate. we are a communal species. hate doesnt result in positive growth, so therefore sides will be drawn and death will follow.

scary shit but its just a matter of time. that is unless a asteriod or mother nature doesnt destroy man first.

I don't think we need to worry about it too much. Your own end of the world will come a lot sooner than the collective end of the world.
