    #14560158 - 06/04/11 01:44 PM (12 years, 8 months ago)

not sure about this one. its in an ollllld orchard where the park has put a bunch of manure around the trees. this was growing off the side in the soil in some tall grass. the veil looks suuuuper cool. i was thinking maybe an Agaricus sp.?
1

these 2 may have been the same as the first .but i am not sure the veil looks different. could these be an Agaricus sp.? maybe like an A silvicola? o
r is it a Stropharia coronilla ? the smell was just kind of mushroomy . the stem was firm but hollow and i think it slightly stained brownish yellow but my fingers may have been dirty. for some reason i didnt get a gill shot .sorry
2
a dung loving Conocybe species
3
a wierd polypore. i am not sure what it is. growing what looks to be some kind of a balsam fir or something.
4
Plueteus cervinus gorwing from some buried wood. it looked like they were growing from soil but there is a wood chip pile close by and lots of chips have been spread.
5
Deconica sp.

I'm thinking both 1 and 2 are Agrocybe, especially by the brown spore deposit on the veil. Perhaps it is A. molesta due to the terrestrial habitat.

EDIT: Also, if you can get a shot of the underside of that polypore, especially the pore size and shape, that'd help a bunch.

EDITEDIT: Now that I think about it, were both 1 and 2 grown near trees or just 1?

Isn't your Deconica species actually Agrocybe pediades?

 I dunno. The striated fibers in the stipe is what made me think Agrocybe, but I'll trust your opinion far more than my own.

EDIT: Nice post count. 9,999's a good number.

1 and 2 were in the same orchard.
1 was by an old ass apple tree in some dung and dirt.

2 was in some tall grass by some tree seeding.
