Final Fantasy ^_^ It began childhood for me, brought strong epic bonding between a dad of like 50 and a 5yr old kid with a massive bag of cheetos and a week worth of NES awesomeness. I've beat the first one and 9 so many times that it's sad, cause I've never been able to play any of the others O_O* except random demos way back when they came with Pizza Hut orders. Lol

I've gotta get ahold of some more FF games... I've heard nothing but bad things about 10 though, but the way people described it, even if they're dissin on it, made it sound pretty cool to me

FFX is one of my favs. It is often criticized for being too linear, and ditching the "roam around the world" thing.
But it's got a great story, beautiful scenery and music, memorable characters, etc...

I see what you did there
-------------------- I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Me and my friend played the original on NES so much we made the game break.
All our stats were 9999, and the end boss (Chaos I believe was the name) would fucking run away from us every time.
So we had to start over and be LESS hardcore to complete it.
I loved the 1st 3 on NES, best games I have played to date.

My favorite is FF 3/6. I was upset with 7 and 8 but I still liked them, loved 9, and hated 10 so much I stopped playing Final Fantasy.
I lost my Chrono Trigger and now stuck playing it on PS.
Earthbound and Secret of Evermore top them all for me.

I loved Earthbound. Playing a fan translation of the sequel right now.
FF6 is my favorite of the ones I played. Couldn't really get into Chrono Trigger.

FF7 was the best. Everyone bought the PSX for FF7, and no one was disappointed. FF7 was the best FF, and one of the best RPGs of all time.

But the actual best RPG of all time is...........(drumroll)...........
Baldur's Gate! By far the best ever made, in my eyes it's no contest.

Sorry?! Not for me.
What other RPG's have you played and what other RPG's of those were on SupernNES when you played them?
I think I just didn't dig the 3-d and all that. Walking behind stuff to grab a hidden item felt weird for me in FF7 compared to like Mt. Kolts in FF3/6. I really dig 3-d, but I just had to force myself to play 7 and 8 as opposed to 4, 5, and 6.
Probably has to do with how old I was also.
