Outdoor bed dead

My outdoor bed has been producing some beautiful gulf coast fruits, then about a week ago, I threw some colonized grain (texas goliad) in the mix, and now nothings growing. What couldve happened?
I water every other day, even keep plastic over the patch. It is shaded all day.

Contamination is non-existent outdoors. Trichoderma is present in nearly every single square inch of earth on this planet, but mushrooms continue to thrive. It only becomes a problem in sterile substrates indoors where there is nothing else to keep it in check.
Did you mix the grains into the patch after throwing them in? The mushrooms might need time to regroup and consolidate their hold on the substrate again if you mixed things up.

So, your saying that the grains from the jars he threw onto the patch that were "fully colonized" may not have been contaminated coming out of the jars causing the myce to not grow, due to lack of sterile procedure, incorrect moisture content, or contaminated inoculant?
I also think it could also be stalled myce from a GE issue while the myce was colonizing the grains in the jar. Have you ever grown cubes outdoors??

Patience my son. How long do you wait for indoor cultivation? I started an outdoor grow several months ago & nothing, I stopped watering & even forgot about them. Was out & about Friday and came across them & ended up picking a pound. They were cracked & scaly because I didn't add water since I gave up on them and it hadn't rained in a week or better. Moral of the story; You might give up on them, but they won't give up on you. I learned my lesson, (Patience & Don't give up)

Doctor inoc.... People dump contaminated jars, tubs etc outside all the time and get fruits. Like wygram said, it dont matter when its outdoors. Just give it some time. Keep watering it and taking care of it.
Goodluck,and post some pics.

I know that.

Still not convinced that the myce didn't come out the jars contaminated to the point of myce death as was the thought that entered my head when I read the post.
Stranger things have happened so don't be so quick to pass judgment onto another's opinion just because they don't have a TC tag under their names.
No disrespect intended but I don't think any of you except OP has ever had experience growing out doors. In life things don't allways follow textbook explianations. Truth can be stranger than fiction.
Not saying by any means that contaminated grain spawn is the END ALL, BE ALL solution to the problem. I'v grown cubes out doors for 2 seasons now and I'm fully aware of the parimeters and microbe kingdom of out doors.
