Did you happen to take any photos of the underside so we could see the gills, stem, and any ring that might be there? They would be very helpful.

The first photo appears to show a large, cottony ring on the one to the right.

Given the overall appearance and spore print color I'm inclined to say they're Cortinarius. But they don't have cottony rings. So please let us know what kind of ring, if any, there is on them.

Happy mushrooming!

The rings have a bage tone to them. They stick out about 1centameter on each mushroom. I'll get a pick of the underside soon. The stem is white and about one inch wide. The spore prints took several hours to start falling because the caps were fairly wet. The spores continued to fall for quit some time, I moved the caps after one night and when I checked on them next they had left another equally deep spore print. I'll try to go get more info, thanks for your help, this is a very helpfull resource to me. But bare with me if I make some begginer's mistakes, as I still have much to learn about mushroom hunting.

What are the properties of Cortinarius? Are they poisonous?
