If I ingest 4g of dried shrooms at 9:30 - 10:00 AM will I be fine to go to work at 4:00 PM that same day?

Let's see... ingest 4 grams at 9:30... tripping balls by 10:20 - 30... Still tripping hard at noon... coming down by 1... still feeling stong effects at 2... almost completely down by 3:30 but still feeling nocticably different.

That's cutting it extremely close. I don't know if I would trip if I had a commitment like work afterwards. It would always be in the back of my mind while tripping and make me panic. Just wait till you have some free time. You'll have a better time.

Agreed, thinking about having to go to work would definately linger in the back of the mind. It would ruin your whole trip. Wait for a day when you don't have shit to do then go balls to the wall.

I have no time this week to shroom, litteraly. The only time I have is before work, and work is the same time everyday. I don't think it would really matter, since my job consits of making hogies at wawa, and monday isn't exactly a busy day for the hogie loving people of Pennsylvania, I think I could get away with it.

Why not wait till next week? If it's your first time don't do it before work! If you've already tripped before you are the one that should decide to trip or not to trip. If you decide to trip, start at 7:30AM and enjoy your trip!
