Peruvian Torch Babies (Pics) !!
    #1455782 - 04/13/03 10:26 PM (21 years, 2 months ago)

Well I've managed to sprout some baby Peruvian Torch cacti!  They sure are tiny lil things and they sure are cute!
These sprouts are only about a week old.  They're on moist sterilized sand and have been in that container for a litle over two weeks now.  I'm still not sure when to transplant them and how to go about accomplishing that task when the time comes so I would greatly appreciate any advise that anyone can give as I've never grown any kind of cacti from seed so this is a brand new growing experience for me!

Peace and thanks for any and all advise and suggestions!

did you use any fungicides?
i'm no expert but i'd advise you to leave them there for about an year or more (mine are yet to be year old!)...

fungicide should be used only if you have them in a terrarrium and it's really damp, correct? Usually people use them for germination cause that is a time when things are quite humid.. I wouuldn't be too quick with the trigger no the fungicide, make sure you know what's up first.
