Yeah, I think its safe to say that this ps3 haking was random and unfortunate.  But I also feel that if the hackers targeted xboxlive they would have been equally sucessful.

clearly ps3 > xbox, otherwise hackers would've targeted Live

You got some nasty luck with 360's, I have never had a 360 RROD on me out of the three and out of all the people on my friends list and IRL I have only heard it happen about 4-5 times.

Possibly ruining several million lives is not acceptable even if sony is brought down because of it.  This is coming from someone who hates sony for ruining EQ1 with their greed (releasing crappy expansion after expansion to bring in new customers while driving off all the old ones). Stealing personal data to prove a point about sony is one thing,but posting it up online is another.
