I'd have to define 'out there' in terms of other people's viewpoints. If I believe something, it's because I've seen enough supporting evidence to take the notion seriously. In some cases, I'd rather believe in something and be wrong, than to dismiss it and be wrong. It depends on how much there is to lose vs. how much there is to gain. To answer your question, I guess I'd say it's my belief in higher intelligences and other dimensions.

A person's ability to take somebody's life is self evident of its justification in that the universe selects one will out of existence. No amount of rhetoric about values can bring that person back.

Telepathy. Somewhere deep down there, I sincerely believe that humans communicate in more ways than through the accepted senses. The relatively recent appreciation for the importance of pheromones is an interesting step in that direction, but I think we are able to 'pick up' a lot more than that. And I very seriously consider that that 'picking up' is actually more than some subconscious putting together of normal, sensory observations.

I believe most of the things that have been brought up...such as creating our own reality, the spaghetti monster, other dimensions, illuminati, telepathy, controlling time, all being one, killing someone by telling them something, being from space and the hologram..
...but I think the most 'out there' belief is that I actually believe in reptilian overlords and am not just trolling when I talk about it...that and I think I can cause great catastrophes far away with my thoughts.
A shorter list is what I DONT believe in...I dont believe in ghosts.

There is one thing that two people have called me and both of them are now dead.
I believe if someone else calls me that they will die too. Not by my hand though.
One person has come close to calling me that...and I suppose inferred it but didnt come out and say it...so they are still alive.

It wasn't bad advice. We had a conversation, and I told him, half joking, that I had never told anyone what I was about to say. The half joking part was when I apologized for making him my guinea pig and hoped he didn't die as a result.
Then a few months later...he's dead
Normally, I wouldn't believe in anything like this happening. I still don't really believe it...but it did happen, and that has me scared.
This is also the first time I have spoken to anyone about this. I'm sure you won't die from it, as I haven't said what I was talking about...and I won't.

So, supernatural jinxing.

Brother please realize: More than one in 100 young adults will be dead in the coming 6 months, odds of dying really are huge, especially among drug users, this might very well have been a chance occurrance.
Its very hard to feel you are responsible for someone's death. What I believe that no one dies before their time, and when they do all the cosmic constants, the laws of physics and cause and effect since the dawn of time work in unison to achieve this death. If you had part in this, its you and everyone else. In a fully interconnected universe governed by cause and effect, anything is caused by everything and "sole responsibility" lies only with the Prime Mover, the totality of everything that is the God/Universe.
If it feels better, don't speak those words again. Since you are engaging in magical thinking here, generally the way to "give it back to God" in several spiritual tradsitions is to write it on a piece of paper and burn it.

have you ever looked into this? 160,000-200,000 year old Metropolis in south Africa
http://viewzone2.com/adamscalendarx.html
Quote:
The area is significant for one striking thing -- gold. "The thousands of ancient gold mines discovered over the past 500 years, points to a vanished civilization that lived and dug for gold in this part of the world for thousands of years," says Tellinger. "And if this is in fact the cradle of humankind, we may be looking at the activities of the oldest civilization on Earth."
Did gold play some role in the dense population that once lived here? The site is just about 150 miles from an excellent port where maritime trade could have helped to support such a large population. But remember -- we're talking almost 200,000 years ago!

That maybe the mushroom/alien theory is right. They put them here, or they (the mushrooms) are aliens, and they (the mushrooms) tell/show us an alternate universe/reality. Any hallucinogenic plant is for this purpose. Why does it do what it does? Why is it here? The plants/fungus that make us feel that way are supposed to be here/ingested.
We are all god(s) as stated earlier.
We are all one, and everything.
This is all by chance. There is nothing else.
Gaia earth theory. The Gaia theory posits that the Earth is a self-regulating complex system involving the biosphere, the atmosphere, the hydrospheres and the pedosphere, tightly coupled as an evolving system. The theory sustains that this system as a whole, called Gaia, seeks a physical and chemical environment optimal for contemporary life.[1]
Gaia evolves through a cybernetic feedback system operated unconsciously by the biota, leading to broad stabilization of the conditions of habitability in a full homeostasis. Many processes in the Earth's surface essential for the conditions of life depend on the interaction of living forms, especially microorganisms, with inorganic elements. These processes establish a global control system that regulates Earth's surface temperature, atmosphere composition and ocean salinity.
The existence of a planetary homeostasis influenced by living forms had been observed previously in the field of biogeochemistry, and it is being investigated also in other fields like Earth system science. The originality of the Gaia theory relies on the assessment that such homeostatic balance is actively pursued with the goal of keeping the optimal conditions for life, even when terrestrial or external events menace them.

They are out there and I believe they have been visiting earth for many many many years.
I beleive they engineered the human race as we know it today. Most of the bible and scripture tales are not referring to gods, angles and demons but aliens of various origins.
It could be nearing the time our ancestors return.
That would be awesome and terrifying at the same time. I really hope something like this happens at the end of the Mayan calendar. It was a countdown timer!

LOL, of course I copied and pasted it. I like it. I did not think it up on my own. I have always had this feeling since I became aware. It makes sense to me. I read about it many years ago. I should have read it more carefully, wikipedophelia is notorious for this kind of thing.
The sum total of all the soils is termed as the "pedosphere". The pedosphere is the skin of the Earth and only develops when there is a dynamic interaction between the atmosphere (air in and above the soil), biosphere (living organisms), lithosphere (unconsolidated regolith and consolidated bedrock) and the hydrosphere (water in, on and below the soil). The pedosphere is the foundation of life on this planet.

I got VERY high one time off some really good buds and my perception of time slowed down so much that every single thought i had was enriched. I noticed myself even thinking about some involuntary muscle movements. I realized everything i was doing was preconcieved in my brain loooong before it actually happened and everything that was going on around me i had already thought of and "created".

Yea I get like that when I smoke. Needless to say when I get really high I don't do as well in fast paced social situations opposed to when sober/drunk. Different ends of the spectrum I guess.

I believe that disembodied entities run free in the collective consciousness (also known as "angels," "demons," and "ghosts"), that we are capable of receiving images and memories from the collective consciousness, I believe the existence of a creator God is more likely than its nonexistence, I believe in subjective immortality, I believe in absolute unity... I have my doubts about souls...
I could go on.

I'm sympathetic to Rupert Sheldrake's theory of morphic resonance.
I also find Dean Radin's meta-analyses of psi research quite compelling.
I'm a theist, but not a very conventional one.
I also have an interest in astrology, though I'm not committed to it enough to defend it.

I agree there is probably something "to" psionics that mainstream science hasn't latched onto yet. The idea that electronic activity in the brain influences and is influenced by the environment outside the skull seems almost obvious to me, though it's a field of inquiry that is often derailed from both sides by ego politics and overreaching skepticism.

My most out there belief...well I believe in aliens and ufos, that something cool may happen in 2012, as well as conspiracies and the like. However my most out there belief is really more of a hope than anything else: Jerry Garcia is alive and faked his death so that he could stage the coolest reunion tour ever with the grateful dead to coincide with the events of 2012. He realized that his continued touring and lifestyle would kill him, and he realized that the vibe with his bandmates wasn't what it used to be. Plus he was playing kind of poorly in the 90s and realized he needed extreme practice and seclusion. Thus he faked his death to give everyone in the band an extended hiatus and time to do their own thing with regards to music. The return would come at the exact moment in a furthur show when everybody was peaking.
Yeah I know, pretty crazy. I was just thinking about this at work and how incredibly awesome it would be. I guess in terms of real beliefs that I actually do hold, I think the grateful dead are pure magic in every sense of the word.
