Strain preferred substrate

Hey guys so I got my syringes in the mail. I ordered Cambodian and got South African for free. I will be using a rye grain bag for the Cambodian. What does South African like as a substrate?
Also I want to make my own substrate, but I don't have a PC. I was thinking of using tyndallization, but it takes 3 days. Is there any method that will provide good sterilization, but not take as long.
Thank You

All cubies grow on the same substrates. They prefer horse poo. Also like coir, verm, WBS and rye.
And for your second question, no. Ebay for a PC or look up the PF tek.

Start with PF tek, and while that's going on check/post to craigslist and check thrift shops for a PC.

Tyndallization is bunk. Don't waste your time. Use the brf tek or if you wish to use grains without a PC, prepare as shown in the grain prep video and place in jars. Steam as shown in the brf tek for 8 hours. Have a second pot of water boiling so you can pour it in as needed, because your pot will boil dry during that 8 hours if you're not careful. RR
