Again, balanced as opposed to what? Saying nature is either "balanced" or "chaotic" makes the assumption that it could be anything other than exactly what it is. Some things appear balanced, some things appear chaotic, but in reality, nothing could be any other way. Everything just is.

uh... yes.
without volcanoes the earth would not be balanced, they serve a purpose just like every other part of the ecosystem.

do you realize that without greenhouse gasses the earth would be uninhabitable?
Volcanoes are an essential part of the earth's ecosystem. Humans on the other hand are self aware and have tried to manipulate nature for our benefit, but because we had an incomplete understanding of nature we have only succeed in creating an overpopulated society that is rapidly using up all of the earth's resources and polluting the very environment which we depend on for survival.

It upsets the fucking balance of a very delicate ecosystem. what part of that are you disagreeing with. We are selfish and don't know what we are doing. Ultimately if society doesn't change we will destroy the earth.

All life is selfish and doesnt know what it is doing. You think volcano's know what they are doing?
Balance is relative, what is balance for one species is imbalance for another. One species' pollution is another vital resource, it doesnt matter if it is oxygen or nuclear waste. You seem to be arguing from a human centric standpoint, which is pragmatic but not philosophically sound.

chaotic wasn't really the right word for me to use earlier, because really nature is random, and I guess that means chaotic, whatever. I Think everything is balanced like negative and positive, like ying and yang, like predator and prey, like death and rebirth.

So you dont believe in fluctuations of predatory/prey and life/death? I think you do.
How do you reconcile this with your belief in 'balance'? Do you mean that over a long period of time, everything dies that lived so that is balance? If so, that is appealing to ignorance I believe, because you are averaging over a long time period and throwing away information about local areas of imbalance. As long as life exists there will be imbalance and change, life thrives off of imbalance in multiple ways.

Life thrives on keeping an imbalance with the environment, otherwise - it just turns to shit.

lol really??
we're cutting down forests, overfishing and over hunting species into extinction, polluting the waters and the air, and wasting arable land with unsustainable farming.
you really don't think that humans are destroying the earth? please explain

How do natural ecosystems pollute themselves?
Volcanic ash or ash from a meteor strike can and has killed the majority of life on this planet.

we may eventually destroy our own nest and particular habitat and that of some of the other species and life forms on earth but we won't destroy the earth. That's nonsense.
Even a giant meteor couldn't do that. The sun may do it in several billion years however. Does that make the sun against what is natural and out of harmony?

pollution: 1. The act or process of polluting or the state of being polluted, especially the contamination of soil, water, or the atmosphere by the discharge of harmful substances.
