im at my best after fungus
    #14550567 - 06/02/11 12:03 PM (12 years, 7 months ago)

I noticed a few years ago that after I would peak and come down quite a bit, my mental functions were like nothing I had ever experienced; so basically 5-6 hrs after I had initially eaten fungus. my mind would be so incredibly clear and I really felt like I was at my personal optimal performance. I could communicate my thoughts and be so articulate in my speech that I would amaze myself, had some real heart felt conversations that way. went a little overboard with a fungus 3 years ago, fried on a pound over a summer, and havent touched it since I was recently at a festival.

bought an ounce and just started eating, tripped balls and the decided to meander through the woods. I met some of the coolest people and my personality and mentality were so spot on that I felt like a superhero.

after lsd im too fried to feel that way, dmt is just love for me, and mescal im sleeping by the end. anyone else feel this way or have had similar experiences?

I tend to feel this way on all the psychedelics I've taken (although DMT is not yet on that list).

I hardly ever am able to sleep after, always feel strangely energetic, can articulate my thoughts/feelings/emotions, create fantastic metaphors, and visualize amazing pieces of art.  A downside to this is that during this time of "increased functionality" I feel extremely unmotivated to do anything except sit in silence or meditate.  Weird.

I can relate to you almost 100%.

I honestly at times feel like tripping is my natural state, and when I'm sober something is off. This is probably just due to going overboard on dosing in 2009, but whatevz, it was entirely worth it.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, I wish I could be tripping on LSD all the time. I just love how my brain functions on it, absolutely brilliant.

I know what you're saying man. I most definitely feel my best after a good mushy trip.  Especially in my speech ( just like you mentioned) it's really easy to make conversation and articulate my words.

I'm always real inspired too.  I find myself writing a lot after, and even during, a good trip.

haha ya I know what you mean! I get really active and then its burn time. im sure that is due to us being spun all the time. Ive been fighting that by getting more sleep, better food, exercise, and free time or basically the recipe for a trip.

I talked to these awesome people late night and ended up drinking moonshine with them and burning hash just laughing and sharing great stories for hours. all about 5-6 hrs after ingestion.

Can definitely relate to that.  Usually my mind is out of sync -- worried about the future and obsessed with the past, wound up and constricted.  In the hours and days following a psychedelic mushroom experience, it's as if all the habits of mind which lead me into a state of alternating fear and sadness are "unbound", and dissipate.  Interpersonal barriers become more transparent, language flows with greater ease, and the shadow of the world lifts.

Someday the therapeutic potential of psilocybin will be better established and more broadly accepted.
