People need to learn to stay calm and respectful around the police as well as know and fully understand their rights.  The more you're a dick to them, the more reason (in their minds) they have to fuck with you.

That is true but how much shit do you have to take before you lose it on a nigga??

Its like some people that are out there can never be pleased no matter what you do.

I have been in contact with police who no matter how nice I am he continues to
be an illogical prick threatening me left and right. It all depends on the person/cop
unfortunately
.

I agree, just saying in the citizen's interest it's best to bow as low to them as you can. I'd rather be a free man with less dignity than have it and be in jail.

That is one of the biggest problems we face. Most of us here could agree that
we hate our government. Everything is so ass backwards it amazes me. But what can
any one man do?? No one wants to go to jail. Jail even for one night is horrible.

9 times out of 10, it's based on your appearance and nothing more, if it's
a regular occurrence then you're obviously doing something to attract
their attention

Indeed. I live right outside of Detroit in the burbs. I see people get pulled
over on Michigan ave daily while walking to work and such and the people getting
pulled over are black 99.9% of the time. Last time I saw that happen was the other
day. Black family riding in a decent car two small kids in the back. Officers on
both sides of the car with their gun to their sides out of the holster.

most major cities have some kind of citizen cop watch; the one in Denver is ran by hoodlums on the west side because mexicans have a lot of problems with police over there

watching the cops beat people up isnt the same as citizens deciding whether a cop needs to be prosecuted or not

They rarely catch anything mildly interesting anyways, once cops see those bright yellow vests and camcorders they're automatically operating text book status.

yeah with the evidence comes the activism...futile or not

Denver just payed out close to a $1 million to this hispanic dude that got the shit beat out of him

I don't know if you are aware; but Denver has had a lot of police brutality problems in the past few years...

http://blogs.westword.com/latestword/2011/05/denver_police_brutailty_scandal_timeline.php

Westword is overall a pretty great publication...it's big in Denver for reporting more than the Post is willing to

we've gone through like 2-3 independent monitors in the past two years....Hickenlooper rode the wave and campaigned to stop police brutality shortly before elections...say hello to our new dolt governor...

had a sheriff down here that did that, he won the election and ousted the
incumbent who in turn hired a hit man to kill the new sheriff, no corruption here

He was legally enforcing his right to kill people he doesn't like.

Nothing illegal here
