IMO the tinnitus and abnormal stress responses listed could be early signs of trouble. It is possible that if you don't take a significant break from psychedelics, this could develop further (i.e. HPPD and/or depersonalization). Also people can tell you all day long that this is nothing - but then they don't have to live with the consequences. Not trying to scare you, but I really do believe these may be warning signs.
Good news is that, this early, the problems will lessen and should be gone soon - provided you don't continue to stress your mind or it's chemical supports.

But how's that possible when I'm an ultra light user. I haven't had a shroom in 2 to 3 years. Anyway, I'm trying to handle it as cool headed as I can. Up to this point, there are no signs of HPPD or anything else. It just feels like my brain's still in a trippy state, despite all of the psilocybin out of my system (unless my liver is failing me?).
I just came back from the doctor again this morning and he said I had a low blood pressure (80/60) and recommended I eat some salty stuff. I'm also going to do some blood tests and let you know.

It sucks trippin when you're getting sick with/without knowing. In December I ate 2 hits of lsd when i wasnt feeling the greatest and had an amplified headache for 12 hrs. Still was a good trip but the headache part sucked

Op it sounds to me as if you have something else wrong with you. I'm not saying a small dose of shrooms can't do this to someone because I'm not a doctor but I've never heard of this happening to anyone in the 25 years I've been tripping.

bummer. based on the title, I thought I was going to read about the op's half oz trip. @ op, you'll be fine. eat some food, drink some water, get some sleep, have some coffee/ginkgo.
The slighter affects of shrooms can easily last a week. Sounds normal enough to me. As you increase total dose, you get more of that the day after.

Thanks for all the tips. I followed my doctor's advice and upped my dose of salt today. I really hope this'll solve the mystery. Now I realize, on the day I tripped I didn't have a single decent meal (I can't eat during a trip, I couldn't eat after the trip because of sickness). Could it be that the trip depleted some of my blood mineral levels? Let's hope so.

I tried exercising. Couldn't do it because of dizzy and nauseous feeling. And now that I know my blood pressure has dropped, I'm not sure jogging is a good idea though.

Of course it's in his head - where else could it be. However that doesn't answer whether or not this is a physiological reaction as opposed to a purely psychological one (though it's most likely a combined effect as they are intrinsically linked). But the above advice is solid and should be headed...

While it may not apply to you - HPPD/DP can manifest even after a single use of a substance. It's all a very individualistic response and reasonable rare, but as they say "odds don't mean much when you're the one afflicted". However it goes, just stay positive and follow good advice (stop all drugs, workout, eat well, keep yourself occupied and don't dwell on your symptomatology) and you'll feel better everyday.

I've managed to get my blood pressure up, however, it seems that the BP drop was only a symptom, not a cause. I still have the episodes I described, but it has diminished so much over the last week that it has become manageable. I suspect they will completely disappear within the next week. Unfortunately, I will never take psychedelics again, my brain is clearly oversensitive and easily overstimulatable. I hope people reilize that even though psilocybin is less toxic than alcohol, it has a bigger impact on your system as a whole. Saturated fats are absolutely non-toxic as a substance, but that doesn't mean they don't have an impact on your system (e.g. clogged arteries). Anyway, thank you all for trying to help me out, I really appreciate it. Take care and trip responsibly. Peace.

um... dare I suggest you learn how to take them properly and experiment until you find the combos that work well for you? learn about the herbs, and you'll be able to take care of any of these light issues. Ginkgo especially.

For me yeah I can still see faint outlines and wavyness/trippyness from tripping, call it hppd or whatever you may but I believe its cause after tripping you notice them and actually they were there even before you popped its cherry. You're just stuck with the pscyhedelic mindframe so you choose to stare off balantly at a wall

The only problem I have left now is this funny feeling in my head when I make too much mental effort like talking / socialization / reading / programming. It feels like there's pressure on the inside of my head. At that point, I usually stop doing what I'm doing because the feelings in my head become overwhelming. It's been like 10 days, and since then I notice improvements every day. I'm hopeful, yet confused as to why this is happening.

I've felt what you're describing exactly. Some symptoms dissipate more quickly than others, so think of it as a complex syndrome with different endpoints, rather than a single problem. Again, something like Taurine can help slow things down a bit (through GABA), it's cheap and worth a go IMO. Your best chance of finding a direct reason for this is two fold - time and sober integration. I do think there is often a component of significant stress/realization during a recent experience, combined with other unknown factors, that isn't always apparent right away. Try reading Ch. 38 of Pihkal entitled "Crisis" for an example of "WTF is this"
Glad things are getting measurably better for you...

Hi Yippie,
Can't do much with my current condition, but I'll definitely read it once I become better, thanks.
You said you had the same symptoms (head pressure feelings)? What did you do? And how long did it take for them to disappear?

I once dosed five hits of acid, then in a hardcore stupid tripping moment dropped another three hits about five hours in, when all was said and done it was a heavy trip that lasted a good 16 hours. A couple days later I was back at 100%, and plenty of other people have gone a whole lot deeper than that...just give it some time and don't think about it, you'll be fine.
