Can these be saved?

Used the search engine and found this - in reference to saving the agar.

If it was already green it was sporulating. You would have to cut it out while it was still white, generally within the first 24 hours. Then you have to make sure you cut a sufficiently large wedge out that not even a single cell of the mycelium remains to reproduce asexually. Doing this in not preferable, but is an option if you are pressed for time, etc.

Can I cut out the mycelium and transfer to another petri dish?

I've got about 8 dishes; it's the end of the year, and my students' lab techniques have become sloppy.

i wouldn't bet on being able to save those. You will need to do it in a completely still air environment to minimize the distribution of those green spores. It will likely take you many transfers to get it cleaned up. I would choose the top left plate and take the smallest piece of clean mycelium from the farthest point away from the green as possible.

You are much better off starting fresh if you can.

Trichoderma has white mycelium. Its spores are green. So even if you cut a wedge that has no spores, chances are pretty high that you get Trich. in your future plates anyways.
The minute you see Trich, toss it out. By waiting you only increase chances of infecting your other plates and cultures.
