I've just finished a new song, and thought I'd share it with the shroomery community. http://soundcloud.com/cloudwalkermusic/imperfect-machines-mastered-v4
A good pair of headphones is recommended...

The idea of the track was to reflect mechanical imperfection. The first part of the track is in a 13/16 time signature (its been a blast to play with). Each note in this section has been manually unquantized to give it an imperfect yet mechanical feel. The 2nd part is in 9/8, exploring darker and more distorted realms. The track finishes with a 4/4 dub finale, slightly error-proned, but with a bright outlook.
Philosophically, I suppose this song reflects the error-prone nature of machines/robots... and ultimately ourselves, as we are also Imperfect Machines.
As always...this is open to critique, comments, or suggestions. I hope you guys enjoy it.
much love, Cloudwalker
ps: I'll post a higher quality stream once my other hosting site is back online.

I saw this thread sitting amongst the list and kept meaning to click on it forgot about it till now, totally pissed with myself I didn't check it out earlier.
It really is pretty awesome, I love the concept and I think you've pulled it off sensationally. Only let down for me was the first transition felt like it needed something more to it, having said that it made an awesome contrast to the second part.
Great stuff man.

@InvisibleaNeway2sayHooray That other cloudwalker is a demented psychopath and smells kinda funny. Thanks for the good vibes.
@Stopwhispering Thanks a ton, glad you enjoyed it. Care to elaborate on the first transition comment? More, as in..."it needs more layers of sounds"..or "more notes"...or....?

I think the part where it starts dropping into the second section should run a bit longer before the beat kicks in. I can't put my finger on why, but I would really love to hear some more dirty atmospheric kind of sounds in that little section.
Like I say though not having that works well also, and as a whole piece of music I thought it was awesome.
