lipstick mold in monotub

This is my second encounter with lipstick mold.
The first was in a jar of Omphalotus nidiformis. I watched it grow so I could spot it in the future.
I am pretty much positive there is a half inch diameter spot of lipstick mold starting to form in the middle of this nearly fully colonized monotub.
It's about 4-5 days away from being ready to fruit.
I know I should toss it, right? but I so don't want to. Tell me a horror story if you must... but I'm hoping someone might say it's possible to just slice it out, cover it up with a vermiculite band-aid, and pretend like nothing happened.
should I wait for full colonization, then cut out the patch of lipstick? Or should I act fast and cut it out now before the tub is ready to fruit?
thanks in advance for your opinions.

No horror story I just wouldn't waste my time with it make some new jars or something it's not worth the trouble. As is said many times with contams you could fuck with it and try to get something out of it but the odds are against you and your time would be better spent making new jars.
If the mold showed up later I might say try it but that's so early by the time it fruits the mold will probably have taken over entirely.

O and DO NOT cut out the piece of mold. From personal experience I can say if you cut it out it will grow back quickly and much worst, I have seen salt slow trich late in a fruiting cycle for the flush to finish but cutting it out is the worst thing to do usually.

thanks for the replies Mycjunky.
What you've said about cutting it out, I'll heed that advice and not do that.
Still undecided as to what action to take. Gonna sleep on it.
