question about a spore syringe.

So I got two spore syringes today! Finally, these had been ordered like 3 weeks ago and I thought the company had just screwed me! (which would be weak because they are a sponser) I haven't bought from this vendor before, but figured I would try someone besides Hawke.
Now I've never had a syringe except from Hawke, and they are always real thick. By that, I mean the syringes I received were always stuffed full of spores with always a big glob of collected spores floating around that I would shake to break up.
Well, these new syringes I got look a lot different. There is barely any visible particulates in the solution. There are what looks like some flecks of dirt or something in the syringe and the water is clear for all intents. My last syringes were cloudy with visible amounts of spore.
I guess I'm asking if this is normal and if anyone has gotten a jar to colonize off of such a weak solution?
I assume/hope that it's just a super weak solution and that this guy didn't hardcore rip me off >.< But you never know. I mean it WAS three weeks to deliver, so I wouldn't put it past anyone to try anything... On top of that he sent me the wrong race of mushie anyway :[ Guess I'm going to be trying to grow PE now!

Don't worry if you can't see the spores. There could be millions of them in there and you'd never know it.
I believe the dark flecks (little bits/chunks of the spore print) are just a result of the technique used to make the syringes; eg one technique may result in more flecks being sucked up in the syringe than another. Take that with a grain of salt, though; just an educated guess on my part

IME clearer syringes are better than dark ones.

whew! so glad to hear that
I went ahead and just noc'd up 20 qts of grain with 'em.
I'm interested to see how having less spores in the solution will affect germination and colonization times

Kind of off the topic, but I recently had a friend who made his first spore PRINT and there was a lot more spores than I would have thought. In fact, I bet he could have made at least 4 or 5 pretty dark syringes with all the spores off just that one mushie. Doing the math...there is more money in selling legal spores than ever would be in selling actual mushies (not that anyone would be so foolish as to).
Ya figure 15 bucks a syringe times 4 a mushroom?!
WOW chaching!

It's probably not less than what you are used to, just less visible. I freaked my first time using a syringe because after there first 2 jars there weren't any more visible spores, but I nocc'ed up the rest of my jars anyways and had 0 problems.

This. Like I said, visible matter doesn't mean lots of spores. When I make syringes, try to break the print up as finely as possible (so the spores are more evenly spread out in the suspension, rather than clumped), which results in mostly clear syringes. But, because I use an entire print for each syringe (rather than make 10? 20? who knows how many syringes off of a single print), jars that I have noc'd up with my syringes usually colonize 3-4 days ahead of syringes that I have purchased, even if the purchased syringes have more flecks in them. I've never done a controlled experiment, but it's very noticeable.
