Yes, but I don't think that's what you have here. I meant something specifically in the genus Polyporus. Just a guess though.

Cool mushroom, my first thought was Polyporus badius cause they start out grey and turn tan on the cap and I'm leaning towards that, but they are a bit thick in the cap  and the stems haven't turned black yet.

wish i knew if they were edible or not.

i saw them from like 100 ft. away and went running to them thinking they were oysters.
only to be disappointed when i arrived at the scene.

it looks to me like you have the exact same thing.

i talked to curecat today and she said polyporus badius was her first guess, but she is by no means certain about it.

I see the edges of a lot of them turning dark. Certainly I'm no expert, but have you considered young meripilus gigantia?
