I can't remember where i read it. It was in a article talking about Psilocybe distribution. It mentioned how the Mountainous forests of North America have relatively few Psilocybes in comparison to the mountains in Central and south mexico and South America. It went on to say that for a long time the Coniferous forests of North America were thought to be lacking any active Psilocybes until 1996 ( maybe 1997? unsure of the year exactly) when a single specimen of a bluing Psilocybe very similar to Psilocybe strictipes was found in a Sub-alpine forest around '11000 outside of Telluride, CO.
I think Stamets may have written that article.

like i said it resembled P pelliculosa. not P strictipes.
hey when did you get that TI tag?

Oops! I thought it was P. strictipes but i trust you. Is that really from PMOTW? I read it years ago and said it was a distribution article cause i really can't remember exactly where its from.
Logged on one morning in January and the t.i. tag was just hanging out by my avatar.

i wouldn't go crazy watering them, especially at this point in the game. mist them lightly until they get a bit more mature. too much water may cause them to abort and we wouldn't want that. but hey, whatever you did last time worked out. so, just do that again.
once again, too cool.

All I am doing is squirting them with a bottle of water that shoots out a wide spray of mist. I squirt them maybe 2 or 3 times before I take the photos then leave them until the next day.

cool beans. i would mist up in the air and let the water fall on top of them until they develop a little more. i wouldn't spray them directly. just my 2 cents.
