I'm stuck using my DJxII Yamaha Keyboard at the moment until I can get access to Garageband again. Been playing keyboard for 9 years. My current forte is psychedelic neo-classical metaphysical ambient
2 songs of mine:
Dimethyltryptamine (Destructive Moments of Transcendence)
Ayahuascic Trance

That's some decent ambient you got going on there, sunset_mission. Have any others on the way/already finished? And to jazzaero, your song Feel That Way got real groovy, real fast. Keep it up!
I've just started to get the basics of FL Studio down, but have yet to come back to it after a few weeks. Serious lack of motivation and inspiration going on these days...

Thanks Katzenjammer! Appreciate the listen. I know what you mean by lack of motivation and inspiration. I found that if you do some research and learn something new about a synth or effect it gets the ball rolling again. I always quit for a while and then I will read something on a forum or magazine and be like "shit I gotta try that". Gets me back into it quick. That and churning out tracks. Finished or not. I just start new projects whenever I'm bored with something I'm doing. I'll end up coming back with a fresh mindset later and have waaay more knowledge on the subject.
ehh I'll quit typing....
Thanks again and good luck. If you make something post it up. I'll check it out.

Let me know what ya think of this remix that I've been working on for a contest. I still have some time so I don't want to final post it yet. Anything anyone here would change? Anything you love or hate?
Thanks!

That was quite good! Only things I'd personally do is give that fat bass around 1:22 some more motion (some sort of oscillation or change over the course of that passage) and EQ a bit of the sand-papery highs out of that lead around 2:15.

Thanks twighead! I get what your saying about the bass. I'll see if I can give it a little LFOooooOoooOooOooOoo.
I'll check out those highs too.
After listening to a track a gajillion times its gets hard to focus on certain parts. All starts running together. I always have to stop messing with it and ask someone else or do something else and come back later.

even if that 4th bass note had a little wobble that would be amazing
those bass notes kind of take away from the baad ass intro that you built

Maybe add some distortion to the bass at 1:22? Just like, a little hint of fuzz on top of what you have now would sound cool. And yeah, that high end near the end of the song is a little hard on the ears. Besides that, pretty chillaxin' beat you got!

Yeah I think the fuzz on the bass sounds like a great idea! I already rolled off the top end of that last part on the newest version I was working on.
Thanks again for the info.

I've been composing electronic music for over 5 years. I specialize in LIVE psytrance/trance and drum n bass, use everything from hardware drum machines to ableton. I'm also one of the very few live Visual Artists you see at a lot of the bay area/sacramento events. Any one else produce or perform in the EDM scene?

Make demos of a few of your tracks and send them out to labels that support similar types of music... if you're lucky maybe you'll get picked up
