    #14540750 - 05/31/11 01:59 PM (12 years, 7 months ago)

Habitat: Found growing on/near the roots of a willow tree.

Gills: white, attached.

Stem: White, fragile, hollow, breaking and splitting easily.

Cap: very light brown (almost tan) when moist, darkening into a dark brown as it dries (some dried specimens found at the tree)

Spore print: Dark brown or black. I included a picture.

Bruising: No noticeable color changes from bruising.

Location: northern Illinois near the Wisconsin border.

Very nice spore print.

It takes talent to time a Coprinoid spore print before they digest themselves.
