panaeolus cinctulus (updated)
    #14540334 - 05/31/11 11:47 AM (12 years, 7 months ago)

Habitat:
Where does it grow. grass, I found this mushroom this morning in an area in my yard I recently reseeded.

Gills:
Color- brown, not attached.

Stem:
Length- 3 inches. texture- dry, solid, thick, twisted.

Cap:
color- dark brown at margin lighter toward tip. texture, conical, convex.

Spore print color:
Very important!

Bruising:
slightly redish.

I don't know if I pick it to soon for the gills to become black or it's just a pan. foe.

spore print. 6/3/11

This looks black to me but I would love to hear other shroomerites input.

This. The two meaty, fully spreading capped ones on top of the pile look like subbs to me. I think I even see some red bruising from that pic.

the first small mushroom that I picked had a black spore print. The ones that I took a picture with my phone are beat up from sitting in my car for a couple of days. I am attempting to get a print off the them but I don't know if they will turn out. :frown:

Psilocybin mushrooms of the world say the pan foes are inactive to slightly active. I was thinking about making tea with the foes and the cinc. Do you think that this might be a bad idea?

Yes, they're inactive and you don't want to be using up space in the solution by dissolving pointless chemicals.
