Can someone please reccomend a few good books/field guides for hunting mushrooms. Last year I got into hunting to late and didn't find much. I know, I know, I live in Colorado, but I have hope. This spring I want to get into hunting and be able to identify mushrooms without much help. I hear the Autobaun(sp?) book is good, any truth to that?

Mushrooms Demystified by David Arora(sp?) has been recommended to me, and I also use Mushrooms of North America by Orson K. Miller, Jr.

Textk,, Autoban is a freeway in Germany. You must be refering to Garly Lincoff (Editor) Audobon Field Guide. See below:

Lincoff, Gary. (Ed.). 1983a. The Audubon Field Guide to North American Mushrooms. Audubon Society publication.
This guide contains numerous colored photographs of several entheogenic mushroom species from the Pacific Northwest United States. Lincoff was the first author to describe Psilocybe stuntzii as "Stuntzii's blue legs."
