This is a weak argument.

You could make that argument for literally anything.

Shopping carts are a conspiracy by auto body shops to increase the odds of your dinging your car up. They pay good money to make sure carts keep rolling out of stalls. Don't fall for the "please return your cart" propaganda crap trap, bro. /s.

The problem is it's incredibly easy to say something about something, versus having lived through it and experienced it.

I interpret it as making sure we never need to actually go to war, especially World War, ever the fuck again.

I'll gladly risk looking like an idiot saying this. I didn't live through that era. I have a computer in my fucking pocket right now to make this post. I don't take anything for granted. The idea that "an idea" about war, versus the reality of war, is more important is insane to me.

To each their own. I'm as anti-statist as you'll meet but that doesn't preclude people dying for reasons I may or may not care about nor support.

It’s a bunch of flag waving bullshit

Memorial Day,  Veterans Day, 4th of July, President’s Day

It’s all a bunch of crap

Fuck this country and everyone who died for it

It’s a goddamn holocaust start to finish

Nice covidian bump

Unfortunately its the same for my country, I suspect many if not most others.

Tell our children of the wars won and battles fought.

Lessons never learned about never to repeat the last great death-toll.:nono:

We glorify the sacrifice of the many whom died on the whim of a few.

Usually based on greed and lies. Never a real cause if there is such thing that can justify what we do to ourselves ( or allow to be done ) over and over again.

If it was all taken away tomorrow, what would be left?

For my country its like we almost cant be allowed to exist without the story of war, so they constantly remind us.

They hold on like its part of our core identity, and this is also the basis of how we relate with other countries and vice versa.

And don't you dare question it or your a grave dancing hippy that has no respect for my dead grand-paw pappy who fought and died for the freedom you now have to talk shit. You'd be talking like a NAZI Jap if not for their sacrifice.

This is true but can we not question the "greed" "lies" and "propaganda" that got them into this ongoing and unresolved situation.

A permanent war for profit culture that has gone on as far back as we all remember, and throughout all history

Its all so obvious that it surely cant continue, can it? The awakened masses will turn on the those that are happy to slaughter us like cattle.

But its been this same situation FOREVER.

I guess all that patriotic positive spin marketing and flag flying works.

do you really think that?

"Hey guise, as a way to boost morale for our military, let's remind the people once a year of how many of them we've managed to get killed.".  Unlikely. Like the name suggests, it's day of memory for all those who have fallen.

Memorial Day is where you remember the soldier that died for some stupid cause, not the assholes who thought it up. You can mourn a soldier without agreeing with the reason they died.

I may be against our military agenda, but if a loved one died in a war I sure as shit wouldn't want some hippy talking shit about them, or dancing on their proverbial graves.

:dumbass:

Lol look at what a baby ass liberal I was.
