My outdoor grow (PIX) -EDIT: Pix of THIRD flush!!

Started with 1 quart fully colonized rye, seen here:

Bulked to 50/50 HPoo and straw in this 5 gallon tub:

And allowed to fully colonize. Here it is 50% done:

When fully colonized, I dug a hole the same dimensions and depth as the substrate, and popped the whole thing into the ground. Covered lightly with Miracle Grow Moisture control soil and waited. Here's a portion of my first flush:

And this week, second flush is commencing:

Stupid easy when it rains practically every day!
Enjoy!

Woah that's awesome!
What exactly is 'fully colonized rye' and how does one obtain such a thing?
How long did it take before your first flush (start-finish)? Then how long before the 2nd Flush was ready?
Sorry for being the newb but if you don't ask question then you never learn right?

Yeah. I caught him in a Dixie cup when he crawled out onto the kitchen counter and tossed him back outside. He was chill about it. Walked right into the cup when prodded.
Oh...forgot to mention: these are my first Hawaiians. I usually opt for Cambodians, but a cube is a cube as they say.

Thanks. I only trip on mushrooms a few times per year (~ 4 tops...I have other favorites now) so this is MORE than enough. First flush was good for more than 10 trips...392 grams wet.
I haven't harvested or weighed the second flush yet. No doubt another 100 grams, maybe more. Total is easily more than I'll need for the entire year.

UPDATE WITH PIX
Damn!!! Third flush underway!!! Like a constant gift!!! This is about 1/2 of the full "scene" - there's about twice as many mushies in the flush as depicted:

Awesome. I would like to prep an outdoor planter in the hopes of doing something similar.

LOL! Yeah, I know. But honestly, if you're in Jersey, you've probably had wet weather this spring, too. If you want to have a fall outdoor grow, I recommend you knock up a couple of quarts in late July. That way you can bulk it mid-August and put it outside around Sept 1. Keep it wet (sprinkler or hand water if necessary) and you'll be ankle-deep in shrooms by the end of September.
Its kinda like growing tomatoes. Every few days you go out and pick the newly ripened fruit! I'm lovin' it. The absolute truth is I enjoy growing them far more than consuming them. They're such cute little fuckers.
