Wiki, and other internet sources, say they are definitely in Ontario..

Also, i seem to have gotten more bites, or at least..i have noticed a couple more, since posting this.

Do they make good domesticated house pets? I'd imagine otherwise from experience.

Well, this species only grows to be about the size of a rat, maybe a bit smaller. They make GREAT pets from my experience. They self potty train, they don't smell at all, they don't make any noises, they eat pretty much anything...

I hear they can have varying personalities, so it's best to get them when they are young.

Whenever i open his cage, he comes out of his nest and says hello, climbs on me, and then i just let him run around my room. They are extremely fast, and can climb pretty much anything fabricy. I've read that they can even climb glass, due to pads on their feet much like a gecko, but... I've never witnessed this...

When he is done running around, he'll just go back to his nest on his own. So i never really have to worry about losing him. i've left his cage open for days, and he is always just hangin' in his nest...

he is also the best cricket hunter i have ever seen... his senses are fuckin' honed to hunt in complete darkness...

they also have claws, as well as toe nails, and thumbs. they are marsupials...

oh, and the fur is soooo soft

change your clothes and especially your socks if you haven't yet also may want to change and wash any other fabric you have come into contact with since getting outside.  Those little fuckers like to hang out for up to a week on cloth then find nice soft embarrassing places to bite in.  Good to know it's not just a Kentucky thang.
