    #14534242 - 05/30/11 02:45 AM (12 years, 8 months ago)

whenever a song from abbey road comes onto my itunes from shuffle I think "oh I gotta listen to the song before this" and so on and so on before I just say fuck it and start the CD from the beginning.

:happyweed:

it is the greatest album ever

Yeah that's one of the ones I don't like..I also don't really like either "Carry That Weight", or "Maxwell's Silver Hammer". IMO, Abbey Road is the best Beatles album (next to the White Album), but not the best album..I think one of the Doors albums rightfully takes that title.

"Come Together" is probably my favorite Beatles song.

Have you ever heard Aerosmith's cover of it? It's not nearly as good IMO, all they did was make an awesome 60's song sound like some cheesy 80's song. :bored:

I used to just get stoned and listen to the entire album from the beginning, but I guess my taste in music has shifted slightly over the years.

"Because" is alright.

glassonion is pretty much my favorite beatles song....abbey road and white album are my favorite beatles albums....I'm not sure which is my favorite.  LA Woman is a good album by the doors, but I can't pick a favorite from them, either.

Well since Rush is the best band ever, they must have made the best album ever, but abbey road isn't by Rush so I'm super confused. Is the OP trying to say Rush isn't the best band ever?!

I fuckin love Abbey Road. I listen to the 2nd half way more than the first half though. You Never Give Me Your Money is probably my favorite Beatles song of all time. Sun King is brilliant for coming down off a trip too

No,tried getting it a year or two ago but for whatever reason it didn't download and that's the last I tried.

From what I've listened to already,Sgt Pepper is better than it. 3 songs in a row now are not the best,Maxwell's silver hammer,oh darling, octopus garden...

Just giving Abbey Road a listen now. I've heard good things:thumbup:

As in you've never heard it before?  Seriously?

No,tried getting it a year or two ago but for whatever reason it didn't download and that's the last I tried.

From what I've listened to already,Sgt Pepper is better than it. 3 songs in a row now are not the best,Maxwell's silver hammer,oh darling, octopus garden...

just wait....

I fuckin love Abbey Road. I listen to the 2nd half way more than the first half though. You Never Give Me Your Money is probably my favorite Beatles song of all time. Sun King is brilliant for coming down off a trip too

ya man, i agree. from Because til the end of the album blows my mind (see what i did thar??)

my favorite song is probably...a day in the life

but as a whole abbey road is untouchable. Mean. Mr Mustard, Polythene Pam, She Came in through the bathroom window....(til the end of the albuum), they all flow together so seamlessly.

It blows my mind that there are people in this thread who've said they've never heard abbey road and then say they don't like the beatles.

Seriously? clown shoes.

Although it's not even my favorite beatles album, it's still one of the best albums ever no doubt.

Well I'd heard all the 'hits' and well known songs off that album before obviously but hearing it today honestly didn't make much of an impression.

Some of those songs sounded like just filler...
