You're right. Thanks for taking the time out to answer some of my questions and share your opinions Poid
Just a little reminder: this is a debate forum, not a share-your-opinions-for-the-hell-of-it forum. When I post here, I expect people to actually engage with me in debate..if you want to post your views/opinions without having them harshly criticized, then try the Spirituality & Mysticism forum instead where debate is not encouraged. It just doesn't make any sense to post in a debate forum without the intent to debate, which is what you're doing.

I think he gets it. Very few people ever admit they're wrong about anything here. It's a good sign.

Where you never have to grow up and can just play your entire life? Moving from one fun filled adventure to another, just enjoying existence as if it was the societally accepted norm?
I won't go into the specifics about how everything its maintained and how energy is renewed...etc., just imagine it is and that there is no concern. What kind of effect do you think this kind of society would have on the human psyche, and humanity as a whole? Would we be fulfilled? Would our lives be blissful without hard times to compare the happy times to? Could this be the definition of a heaven? Would we continue to evolve without anymore barriers to grow beyond?
Thoughts?
One side of the society will be dumbed down, just like it is today. The other side of the society is adventurous, trying to explore and invent new things.

Humans have psychological problems so I doubt it would be very perfect. I don't work and I'm still a mean old ass hole.
I don't think they neccesarily have problems per se, though surely we're imperfect, I think a lot of the conflict is a result of our emotional state evolving for radically different situations than we now live in. When's the dawn of civilization, like 4k years ago or so? A blink of the eye.
Killing everyone who enters into your area or looks at your girlfriend might work pretty well to propogate your genes before civilization- it just doesn't work too well nowadays. All the xenophobia and hatred makes sense in scenario of precivilization- it just doesn't work very well now. In some senses, the non-human apes may be more emotionally well-suited to their present environment than humans are.
As for the OP's question: I don't think this would help people be happy except for the lowest folks in danger of not having food and shelter. People would still likely need something to pursue to feel validated, self actualization and all that. Once your basic needs are met you still aren't neccesarily happy: again, probably a remnant of a time where our basic needs might be satisfied for one moment but require continued vigilance to continue to maintain, i.e. can't rest just cause you ate, gotta keep on hunting/plowing/roaming/whatever

Sounds like a psychological problem to me.

Children can't accomplish things or be challenged?
