Habitat:
Grassy field. northern UT, USA. Altitude 4500ft. Lots of rain lately with moderate temperatures.55-70

Gills:
Dark brown.

Stem:
Hollow, thin, brown.

Cap:
Size of a penny. Brown with lighter ring around base.

Spore print color:
Black.

Bruising:
Hard to see any.

I believe they are panaeolus cinctulus. I'm not sure about the light brown one.

They look like foes but if the spore print was black, then you have cints, you might need a pic of the spore print... Because sometimes the gills do look black and arent just the spores factoring in there. If that was how you got the color...

It's actually a very black print even for the lighter one in the group.

Can you post a picture of the spore prints in natural light, the difference can be quite subtle.

The stems might be to short to be a panaeolus. please post picture of the spore print in the most natural light that is available.

Psathyrella pseudovernalis maybe?? The stems look a little to big for these as well. Elprawn what do you think for species if it is a psathyrella?
