Not really, I often get poor prints if I don't cover them, they dry out too fast.

What was the habitat? I think Panaeolina or Psathyrella. I don't think they're Panaeolus at all.

they were gowing on a lawn. i know theyre not Psathyrella. i dont wanna move the caps just yet to take a gill pic tho...maybe i will move one if you need more convincing tho.  and i got high hopes for some of them being Panaeolus. but we'll see when i get prints.

As you're printing them, we may as well reserve judgement.

think some of them are subbs cuz they got a thick heavy stem with the twisty curvy lines on em. and the gills look very dark.

That so doesn't separate them from P. cinctulus.  The only thing that does on the macroscopic level are subtle color differences that are easy to miss if you haven't picked loads of both species.  Even then its nowhere near an exact science.

also, if that were true, how could you say one way or the other with already faded mushrooms without seeing a spore print?

You will go lift a cap in a second and find that it will be brown. Foes print really fast to me.
