Music affecting mood and feelings?

Today I woke up and I felt terrible. I couldnt concentrate and felt woozy and just wanted to lay down which i couldnt at the time. I thought maybe it was an inner ear infection or something. And I had a pissy mood and snapped at just about anyone who said anything to me. Then I realized I hadnt listened to any music at all. I quickly grabbed my music player and listened to my usuals of Skrillex, Foster the People, And Kid Cudi. Almost instantaneously I felt the complete opposite. I was all jovial and wanted to jump around and play video games. I was just wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else or what the their thoughts on it were.

I could be wrong but the names give me the impression that they belong to the genre...rap.
Music has definitely affected my moods and feelings. IME music can effect a lot more than that.

I had a feeling Kid Cudi was a rap/hip-hop artist.

its funny how sounds in harmony can induce a state of well being and sounds in dischord do the opposite, its also funny how birds dont "sing" off key.

Nope, never even heard of Skrillex although I woke up hungry the other day and whipped out a Skillet and fried up some eggs.

i think music is all about the emotions you were experiencing when you first heard the song. What i am getting at is that music and emotions are tied together with memory. If one is to listen to a song that he or she has had a good experience with in the past, the he or she is likely to reminisce on this event or feelings experienced.

Skrillex is the god of electronic music. His tunes gave me more energy than any other music i have heard. Seeing him live on mdma was possibly the greatest moment of my life.
