Yes, and that's unfortunate.

It's kind of like, technology has made agriculture so cheap to mass produce, that once people start doing it the old fashion way, it's considered extra labor effort, hence, more expensive.

But it fucking blows my mind when I can go to India, Asia, got a big bowl of noodles/rice and a bunch of freshly picked organic veg and proteins for less than a dollar.

Or going to mexico and getting all kinds of mole, tacos, stews etc etc for quarters on end.

And then in most Westernized Countries, or Japan, they're charging $8 for a diet coke at pretty much most top flight fine dining places.

I just transplanted 200 asparagus, I have about 300 more to put in, it's all
hand work, I did the same with a bunch of blueberries and strawberries, dig
them from one location and move them to another, the asparagus required a 6"
trench, 2 inches of compost and will require a great deal of weeding in the
growing season as well as back filling the trench as the plants grow, most
organic growers cant afford a $200k machine with $30k attachments to do the
work. I'll keep going until I get my mid season crops in, it's a lot of work

I need to get me some slaves WWOOFers, it's the volunteer
subsidy for organic growers, keeps shit more affordable

Can you provide some more information? Not only would I like to volunteer, but I may eventually have a use for utilizing people like that.
