Update on the ampulla 1000ml pp5s vs presto23q
I found a way to fit 8 of them, however half of them are upside down. Not a big problem as long as it stays closed..
I know they can warp a bit if not placed properly. How important is it to keep them away from touching the sides?

I'm in UK and pretty much sourced all my material- PC (Hawkins Bigboy 22 litre), Jars, Tubs, coir, Verm, Gypsum, Iso from Amazon.
Bird seed I got from  local pet store and I WILL NOT do that again  young assistant looking at me after each question like "WTF why does it matter? just feed the birds the fucking seed" :crazy2:

Spores I got from Azarius.

I bought a aquarium heater from Argos as was going to attempt a TIT incubator but seeing as this is my first grow I am just going to keep everything as simple as possible until I am more experienced.

forget TITs
as long as your room is between about 65-75 degrees or so, you'll be fine
everyone says, heat the rooms, not the grows

and best of luck, are you doing PF TEK? Grains? :cookiemonster:

After sitting on the fence for months I jumped straight in and started a Mono TEK.

I followed Franks tuts- WBS 1 qt jars and coir-verm mono sub.

Nocc'ed them up 2 week ago, shook them yesterday at about 40 percent myc growth, room temp has been around 65 (struggling to get and keep it higher) so I figure the low temps are the reason for slow growth but they are looking healthy so not worried, yet.

I think the tit method used to be the norm, until people realised they grew aswell in normal conditions.
I made the same mistake, I grew cubes over 12 years ago and went straight out and bought a heater also.
I've kept hold of it though as I might have to move my flock to the attic, and temps are obviously much lower up there, instead of running a oil filled radiator 1500w I'll bang them in a tit which mine is only 50w saving on energy.

Nice little group we have going here.

Yeah being colder will cause slower growth but youll find less contams so swings and round abouts. My contam rate is considerably lower in winter, i grow all my cultures under warm grow lights grow super fast and any contams reveal very quickly meaning i can go through many transfers in a very short space of time getting super clean cultures then i colonise and spawn in my conservatory very cold takes a week or too longer but upto now ive never lost a cold grown batch.
