I am very surprised to see amazon, of all companies, selling items which I still believe are not permitted to be sold to the UK or EU. They are usually totally on the ball, and sometimes overly so. I remember not being able to buy blank cds and some mp3 players from the UK to be delivered to Ireland, which 99.9% of UK companies would have no problem doing.
Unless something has changed the AAs do not pass EU regulations on PCs and so cannot be sold in the EU (I am confident they are perfectly fine to use, do not let this put you off!). So there is still a possibility it could be inspected by customs and seized/returned. However if this did happen I would expect absolutely no hassle from amazon, and to be fully reimbursed every single thing you paid. Also I expect it might slip through customs a lot easier and customs would be aware how strict and above board amazon (usually) are -and so would likely not investigate things as much.

I'm sure the reward massively outweighs the risk, especially at under £100 including shipping.

Since home bargains website now says "Not available online" for those 99p 1L mason jars, where do I go for more grain jars now? Don't wanna be hacking up my SFDs and sticking them on 1 piece pasta sauce lids or whatever.

Cheers but they definitely have to be 2 piece lids.
On another note what do people here do with spent/contamed substrates? Is a compost bin any good?

I like the fly agaric lids on those

I could never buy empty jars though, unless they were really cheap. You can get so many jars of food cheaply. You can get 2x900g jars of pickles for £2 in tesco https://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=262299348
It can be cheaper to buy stuff and dump it than buy empties. You would want to be a big fan of pickles though. If I wanted lots of jars I would contact a homeless shelter, soup kitchen or local school/cafe or something and see if they would take them -rather than dump. But there is stuff like tomato sauce that comes in large "family size" jars that you would eat a lot sooner than a big jar of pickles. There are also some jars of peas & carrots which you would easily eat, they can be quite a bit more expensive per kilo than frozen veg but they are still cheap considering you get the jar.
Passata (seived tomato paste) tends to be cheap, and comes in tall bottles with wide lids which can fit in most household PCs. Many large jars are short and not making the best use of tall household PCs.
There are discount shops selling food near or past its BB date http://www.approvedfood.co.uk/
http://www.clearancexl.co.uk/
Another source would be asking cafes/restaurants/takeaways if they have any jars spare. I keep meaning to ask 2 places for them, as I know people working there well enough to ask, they might be only glad to get rid of them.
This tesco 995g ketchup is just £1 and is in a PP bottle https://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=291684666 It is not ideally transparent enough though, you could see if green is growing though. I tear through ketchup, and if I leave it out in the canteen in work it gets used up quickly. When the lid is off the opening is big enough to get grains out and wedges etc into it -this is an advantage since the smaller the lid diameter the less likely you will have contams getting in while transferring to it. Also it you leave the lid intact it has a self healing port already on it for easy injection.

Mazdar and bullyboy again with the great finds ;-)
Anyone have idea about about SFDs? Only place I found would cost £30 for 24 which is a good price but then I'd be paying £25 on top of that for shipping and customs! Don't really wanna be paying that much.

The only place I've seen SFD's is eBay. But then I did read a thread a few month back where they was using eco felt. Now the thread was a few year old when I came across it and no one has said how great it is. All I know is I've upgraded from polyfil to tyvek. Found sleeves on eBay.

That's very nice, UK shop for them is useful. My current jars are 70mm (not wide mouths) however the link mazdar posted has 90mm (wide mouth) jars so looks like I can combo the two up!
