Tesco have very clear/transparent shallow trays of pesto (not the "finest" range stuff, regular) which would be good as petri dishes. I am not 100% if they are PP, but pretty sure. There was a label on the bottom which is possibly covering the recycling code. I did see a 5 on the container which could be a recycling code, which would mean PP.
They were made by this company http://www.deca.be/en/index.shtml they have a pdf catalogue with similar containers listed as being PP
http://www.deca.be/en/bm.doc/deca-ontwerp-cataloog_nov14-eng-low-res.pdf
ridiculous advertising for a company making plastic containers!
I mentioned before tesco also have sweets called "tubz" or "tubs" and they are definitely PP containers, but are not as shallow, but still very clear. They would still be good for agar or PF jars. They can go on offer from time to time.
I don't eat pesto and it was not that cheap, might suit someone who goes through it.
Aldi also have very clear PP pesto containers, guy eats them in work so I get him to give me the containers.

I saw horrendous looking jars of pork in the polish section in lidl which were tapered i.e. suit PF jars. Though it looked horrible it is probably fine and just appeared to be cooked pork and not hugely fatty or highly flavoured. People are usually getting jam jars but I do not really eat jam, and those who do would likely not be lashing through it. While this pork might be fine chopped and made into spag bol or something. THere was pate type stuff aswell, some were bonne maman size, some smaller.
I mentioned tapered plastic tubs of sweets in tesco and poundland/dealz, I eat more chocolate than sweets though. But it there are lots of confirmation/communion parties going on so you could let them go to good use.

Not sure of the UK guidelines on what "organic" means, but in some places it does not mean that no chemicals were used which would stop growth, they just have to be "organic chemicals". Copper sulphate would be an "organic pesticide". Sometimes if there is a big outbreak of disease they are permitted to use more chemicals (or more than usual). Pretty sure I read of an outbreak of trich in Northern Ireland mushroom farms and they were allowed use more.
found this
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copper_pesticideQuote:
A copper pesticide is a copper compound used as a pesticide or fungicide. In the UK the Soil Association (one of the organic certification authorities) permits farmers to use some copper fungicides on organic land used for the production of certified organic crops only if there is a major threat to crops.[1] During the 2008 growing season the compounds were applied to much of the organic potato crop to control potato blight (Phytophthora infestans).[2] The compounds permitted are copper sulfate, copper hydroxide, cuprous oxide, copper oxychloride, copper ammonium carbonate (at a maximum concentration of 25 g/l), and copper octanoate

Little heads up you can buy AA and presto pressure cookers on Amazon uk. They get imported but somehow bypass the EU block on american pressure cookers and they are reasonably cheap too. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0000BYCFU/ref=mp_s_a_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1496356897&sr=8-10&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=pressure+cooker+gauge 6 quid postage

Why are you all so obsessed with American pressure cookers? Here is a 26 litre pressure cooker for sale in the UK for 60 quid delivered:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272562095010
I have one just like it and have been using it for many, many years without any issues.

Always rye - i buy the odd 25kg bag and it lasts a long time but I have a rather big old bag of brf I need to use so next time I think I will spawn a bunch of cakes to coir. Mine has no gauge either - i just get it whistling then turn it down to low on the stove - never had a problem with big bags of rye or brf cakes.

Why would you need any more than 8-9 psi? I probably have a about 5 psi in just leave it on for longer

Make sure you test it with pressurized air (air compressor, bicycle pump, ... As long as it has a gauge and goes way over 20 PSI), if your vessel is only made to hold 8-9 PSI I'd be weary about how it will hold up when going over 15 PSI. Having it blow with pressurized air is a whole lot safer than having it happen with steam. Plus, I just want to mention, when not having a safety valve (excess overpressure valve, not the same as a blow-out plug) on your sterilizer, you are basically operating a potential bomb, without a safety net. But you probably knew that already. Rubber seals might pop out as well when pressure gets too high. That's not a safety net, it's a good way to get heavily burned. All things to consider when upgrading, and setting a maximum pressure for your cooker.
