I used to buy acacia from Hawaii on eBay if that's any use to you, I've no idea how the states work and selling between each state etc. But eBay wouldn't sell stuff if there was even a vague chance that it was drugs

honestly, idk haha
i mean, the reason it would be better to get it from within the state is so that it wouldnt have to go through customs. but im not sure if it would go through customs from Hawaii.. im sure it probably would.
i just dont know, dude. US laws are so convoluted. When i get back from vacation, ill probably just suck it up, and try to get a half kilo or so from one of the shroomery sponsored vendors in NL. i will probably have to get a paypal account, or do a bank transfer, though, it seems. or get some btc. wish it werent so, but seems like that will be the only way.
i might try to see if anyone has any in the marketplace. the only recent post i saw for some, the guy wanted waaaayyy too much money.

Take holland for example, shrooms are legal to grow and eat (not to sell unless they are stones) but if you dry them, they are considered as an illegal drug. I have heard this from a couple of people, not entirely sure of it's validity though.
As you said, MHRB is used to make dye, maybe powdering it like we would for extraction would make it only suitable for extraction? I dunno, the law is pretty fucked in every country. Shrooms aren't even listed in the laws where I'm from but I'm willing to bet that you would still end up in chains if you were caught growing them.
Shrooms are class A in this country the council spray for them just to make sure lol
Which country ? Holland?

Yeah man they used to be legalish a few years back as long as they are unpicked and unprepared but as soon as you picked them you ran the risk of being told off and having them confiscated lol There's been a lot of talk recently about decriminalization of possession of all substances

This tesco ketchup has a PP5 container, the bottom clearly states it but the top did not have any indications. However it has help up well to short boilings. The cap seals very well and it has a squeezy mechanism.

I am going to try using it for LC, transfer an agar wedge into it. I have the bottle half full, no filter, I get fine results without filters, you can feel free to shake the hell out of it which aerates it well.
As its a top down bottle you can easily shake it and let the myc rich layer settle to the bottom. In an SAB I plan on opening jars and giving a quick squirt into the jar. I have practised and can get a good 5-10ml squirt easily and really quick, and the bottom does not get wet or drip. Air is drawn back into the bottle through the squeezy dispense mechanism, if done in a SAB it would hopefully be clean.
It is this one, I have a larger bottle and it does not say its PP5 but looks similar. http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=291684770

I think that the nozzle is made from a different type of plastic though, I doubt it would hold in a PC. Assuming it's the same one we get here that is.

It has held up to a few short boils in a microwave so far, and the nozzle thing is still intact and working as before, I was worried about it too. I usually do not PC my agar or LCs, or if I do I stick to low psi as I am usually doing it in thin PP5 containers which do not hold up well, PCing may be necessary depending on recipe, my LC was made with maple syrup, a tiny amount. My microwavings would have got it a little above 100C as I left one on full power too long and it was puffed out with pressure as steam tried to escape, it shrank back to its original regular shape.
If you insist on using a PC for LC or agar you could PC it in a different container, pour into this while hot and then steam it.
I would not put the lid in IPA, that is just sanitizing, and asking for trouble.
I have had the lid loose in my heat treatments so far. The upper flip lid section is fully closed but it is unscrewed further down.
The water jets out really well and stops abruptly, no dripping, so could be good for agar as mentioned. My fear with LC is that when the mechanism closes it will trap strands of myc in it. The plus side is the container would be used upside down, so has a natural umbrella effect against contams. I think it would be safest to use it all in one go, rather than trying to stop, recap and use later, as if myc was trapped or you did have splashback or drips on the lid they would be ithcing to contam. IF doing agar its recommended to let it get cool and near gelling temp, I wonder how it would squirt out, I guessed badly but its designed to squirt out ketchup like consistency.
This tesco one works very well for both ketchup and water, far better than many branded ones like heinz or hellmans, I always have a mess on their lids.

The tesco bottle has PP5 written on the neck. You have to unscrew the lid off to see the PP5 mark, but containers like these all have foil seals underneath so you could check in the supermarket. I have a tesco mayo one which looked similar but the plastic ID number was 7. I have 2 clear heinz ketchup ones too and both are ID 1 which is PET. The heinz & mayo also had the marking in the neck area under the caps.
My tesco ketchup one went through a full boil and held at 97C for about 15hours and is fine.

I would be wary about jars like these if they are that cheap. They are possibly just for show and not intended for repeated canning.
