Hi UK folks.
I've just been informed by Philip Harris that they are no longer selling the plastic petri dishes I've had on back order for weeks.
Does anybody use (or know of) another supplier who stocks them?
Thanks in advance.

I just get mine from amazon, cheap and quick delivery. Just type "plastic petri dishes" into the search bar.

Amazon is definitely not cheap mate, way overpriced.
Phillip Harris were doing 500 petris for like £30.
That was my stockist too but I do have another one, I'll find it and update my post.
https://www.betterequipped.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=90mm+petri
There you'll see aseptic and sterile, both work fine. The Phillip Harris ones were aseptic. Boxes of 600 or individual packs of 20.
Stan it sounds like you're buying very small amounts of plates so have a look at that link and see the price difference on a 20pk compared to Amazon. 10x cheaper.

Nice one Guerrilla!
The 500 box of P.Harris ones always used to turn up with half of them smashed to bits so I called and they'd send a replacement box that'd also turn up with half of them obliterated.
Fingers crossed these guys actually wrap a bit of bubble wrap around the box and not just throw it at the delivery company.
Thanks again dude!

Amazon are really expensive.
Approx £9 for a stack of 20, I was paying £35 for 500.

I thought this thread was locked!
Glad it's all good. Happy to see you guys keepin on!

I've had a quick flip through over the last year or so.
Good links for jars and plates!
I'm looking to finally make a come back with a move into medicinals and gourmets.
Thinking about making a bulk steriliser for sub and trying out more lc instead of a2g and g2g.
Can't believe how far we've come in my time here and how easy it is to get so many things now like filters ships and inflatable monotubs

I tried 4g of dried amanita but I dunno of it did much, I was on libs, pills, and speed so it's hard to tell. But upon further reading it's more of a dream trip and the dose range is 5-20g, I only did 4g. Had no nausea tho, another user jillesa goodwitch has a good write up on prepping them

What sort of scale are you looking for? Hand operated 24 at a time or automatic 1000 a load, or inbetween?

24 is a bit small, and automatic 1000 a load sounds to expensive So something in between. Still, in the future I might be interested in an automatic machine so recommendations in that field are also welcome.
In the meantime I found these two:
Size 0 - 100 capsule machine
Size 2 - 100 capsule machine
Look decent to me, but open for suggestins

Whats going in them? Dry mushroom powder is about 0.3- 0.5g each last I tried in 00. Any smaller is a lot less

I've been using the glass petri dishes from Philip Harris and sterilising them in the oven.

yeah me too. pouring is a bit of a faff, and if I want to do loads I have some pp5 sauce pots that I load up and PC all together, but they're small and cloudy, so getting really nice cultures is a lot harder than in nice big clear petris

Thanks for the link Guerrilla. Do I want triple vent or are borax better? Presumably the triple vent won't be suitable for no-pour? Is it worth getting inoculation loops whilst I'm at it (if so, how many ul)? Thank you.

You want triple vent.
Even if the material is up to pc temp I don't think petri are suitable for no pour. Maybe the glass ones.
