Awesome. That's great to know. For a while now, I'm sure Poundland and Home Bargains have been completely sold out of those jars. For £1 a jar, you really can't argue. Hopefully, it's a nationwide restock. This weekend, I'll take a look at my local store and see if I can find them.

Really, I’d say a fan isn’t necessary. I’d give it a go without first. Yeah door is always closed to keep the heat in. It’s pretty well insulated with a load of insulation I bought from B&Q. Done all the walls and put rubber foam mats on the floor. My room normally sits at about 21ish degrees. The rest of my house at the minute is like 13 degrees because I’m too tight to put the heating on

Yeah, I'll see how things go without a fan at first. The less I need to be spending to get started, the better it is for my depleting bank balance.
Oh wow. Insulating the walls sounds like a great move. Did you use something similar to this HERE?
Do you run a heater and thermostat in your grow space at all times also? Or do you find the insulation keeps steady temperatures all year round anyway? It would be great if I could have steady temperatures all year round, especially with gas and electric prices sky rocketing by 50% come April. Sadly.. the weather fluctuates so much here that I very much doubt I could dial in my temps without both a heater and thermostat running at all times.

Yes mate, I have a 7 fin oil radiator hooked up to an inkbird. I’m sure I’ve linked them before if you go back.
The insulation was this sort of stuff https://www.diy.com/departments/jablite-polystyrene-insulation-board-l-2-4m-w-1-2m-t-25mm/26822_BQ.prd
Kind of polystyrene boards that I just siliconed to the wall. Works surprisingly well actually.
I live alone in a 3 bed house and my energy is usually about £2ish a day in the winter so it’s not that bad. In the summer I’m not to sure because I didn’t have a smart meter then but I remember having to open the door because it kept getting too hot!

Ah that's right. Yeah mate, pretty sure I've went ahead and got both the radiator and the thermostat in these links HERE and HERE bookmarked.

Gotcha. No doubt the extra thickness from the boards will help insulate your grow space even more so. With my cupboard built into the concrete walls, I reckon it'll already be pretty well insulated. The walls can get super cold in the winter months though so some form of insulation certainly wouldn't go a miss. I'll look into this in the near future.

£2 in the winter months is pretty damn good, especially for a three bedroom house. Wouldn't your thermostat just shut off the radiator if the temperatures get too high in your grow space? Wouldn't that save you having to open the doors all the time?

So today, I'm in need of a couple Flairosol spray bottles, as well as 100ml Atomizer Spray Bottles and Filling Funnel for my 70% ISO. Does anyone have any recommendations? For Flairosol bottles, this one HERE keeps popping up. For the 100ml Spray Bottles, these HERE looked perfect, but they are currently out of stock.

Remember when I first started, bought 20, went through them in no time. Bought another 20. Went through them in no time. Bought 500 for about £30 never looked back.
Not over kill IMO
Good luck.
Edit - About your spray bottle proposal. I don’t use a fancy spray bottle although I’m sure it’s nice, just an old bathroom cleaner bottle filled with whatever I’ve got. I’ve been using zoflora recently, smells lovely.

Thanks for sharing your input. I'm guessing you bought the 500 plastic disposable dishes? I can only assume so. Buying 500 glass dishes would be a pricey endeavour.

Thanks for the recommendation. It's not something I'm overly concerned about. I'm sure I'll find something suitable.

Can someone please tell me what the hell the correct name of this wire rack is called? It's been driving me mad. It's been super frustrating browsing around online for something I honestly don't know the name of. They seem pretty useful though, especially for a SAB!

As above they are a wire cooling rack (for baking). Wilko usually have a couple of varieties for £2 each.

Thank you! Thank you! You're right, Wilko have 2 options available HERE and HERE.
Trying to figure out the name has been driving me nuts. I've been searching for "Wire Racks", "Wire Mesh", "Wire Tray"... the list goes on... and on...

Out of interest, how soon into this hobby did you guys end up forking out the money for a pressure cooker? It's something I'm sure would pay for itself in the long run, but a PC like 23-Quart Presto sure ain't cheap.
Don't get me wrong, it's no doubt the most expensive item out of the entire shopping list to get started. They also seem to hold their value on the second hand market.

As soon as possible really. I got a 7.5L prestige one I used for a few months before I pulled the trigger on a 23qt presto. If you’re serious about this hobby though it’s an absolute must! I got my first for about £140 off eBay and then had to get a second induction compatible 23qt presto which was about £160.

Def get an induction compatible PC, those things heat up from 0 to 100% in no time, and consistently give out the same power at each setting.

Weird, not my experience at all, they do get up to pressure very quickly but I’m forever changing settings from 5-7 on my hob. I’m looking very seriously into dropping £650 on an electric autoclave. Fill with water, set timer, go about my day without worry. I was gunna get a 2X2 FFU from mycopunks but I think the convenience even trumps a flow hood! That and I’ve a very low contam rate as it is in an SAB

Yeah a 23-Quart Presto is definitely on the shopping list. Until I get started though, I'm going to try my best to make do without one. Once I know I'm serious and I'm thoroughly enjoying this hobby, I'll no doubt grab one. They seem to pop up from time to time at fairly decent prices. For the one you only paid £140 for, I'm guessing it was second hand?
Going forward, I'm going to keep a close eye out for them on eBay. They don't seem to be all that widely available here in the UK, but I'm sure if I'm patient enough, I'll finally snap one up at a decent price. Right now, there is one for sale out over in the US (LINK HERE) for a decent price, but sadly, it's the shipping prices that spike up the price.

Definitely worth keeping a saved search on eBay if your not in a major hurry. I’ve saw 3 or 4 prestos go for around £80 before I came across this.

Definitely my best ever eBay find

Where do you get these from? If you got a link I’d be interested in taking a look. Even if the capacity is smaller than a regular PC the convenience means I could do it every day
