I believe so. A standard wilkos 75lt new ones with latch for a fiver fits only two in, might try that nice deep subs in each. Seems a cool way to grow diff strains and more eggs more baskets on failure.
I THink everyone just treating them like "unmodified mono's" which just gets your airflow on a loose fitting lid?
Done a lot of reading here last few days, light years of knowledge has been posted since I last had a good look 4-5 ys back.
Gonna do some "distilled water for long term storage too." mind blowing thread in eatualives bio....

I treat it like a mono. But ive found that there is no difference if you have bottom holes or not after experimenting.

Im going to do a write up about different spawn/sub ratios for ALT#7 1:1, 1:2 1:3 to see which produces the most stones. That provided it all goes to plan. again I will do it in the 62L with a shallower base. Not sure if to go 2" or 1.5/1"

Exactly why I went this route. 1 block of coir/bucket tec/4 quarts of spawn no other additives = 2 shoe boxes..... easy
Really easy to run side by side experiments too. 2 tubs = up to 8 different arguments, a decent amount for a conclusion.

about 3 inches giving you 4/5 inches above. When its a full canopy and they all nearly touch the lid its impressive.

Id like to try liners of some sort to see if I can stop side pinning, but as you see here they just drop out of the shoeboxes easily and are easy to harvest.

Nice one Ed, looks your getting some top results with that set up, I like the idea of shrooms pushing lid up.

Thanks, and when you said do I use it as a mono or a sgfc, I just grow everything in there now.

This was a tub full of dodgy looking ape, aa+ and burma jars. If they look a bit off I try to get 1/4 oz out of them b4 contamination, single jar grows are a pain in the arse but worth it .

They look ok but it doesn’t say what sort of glass.
These are borosilicate glass for about the same price.

I have to say I'm tempted to get some of these. my little p5 sauce pots work pretty good but they're not very clear and only 40mm wide. I guess with these you need to seal them? could you wrap micropore around th sides?

You dont need to seal petri dishes They are very nice might get me some of them, you can chuck them straight in the PC aswell. I have reusable pp5 petri dishes bought from agar scientific a agar specialist company, but i like these alot.

Anyone got a better link for some decent plastic no pour dishes.
I find my contam rate with these goes through the roof!!
I think its the way they open, ie your hand is right above it.
The glass jars are ace tho, they were from ampula, i love them got 12, higly recomended.
My trusty pressure cooker is a french made SEB used by British army will take 6 qt jars.
Really hard to find, never seen another since, get one if you come across one. ex army shops online type of affair. Though had to order a weight from australia lol/
