Onlinemrmazdarx9 that looks good, was that from syringe MS? Only ever done a monotub with WBS but interested that everyone seems to be going with Whole Oats.
MS syringe to agar to oats. Whole oats are very simple prep less than 30 mins to prep then into pc. Boil water pour in oats check oats after 10 mins by removing one if its still hard keep going checking an oat every few mins if its soft then drain water put in jars and pc no drying time, i pour into a sieve shake and jar. If you see any burst grains then this means your most likely done boiling too.

So at a guess its Kilner and if so you can get replacement lids and seals.
Not seen wide mouth kilner jars so cant help you without more guessing.

Yes obviously I've done that was asking as I'm sure somebody would know where to find them cheap and guessed what better place to ask for advice. But Thankyou for your very helpful advice.

In my experience Kilner jars last longer than my plastic bits for integrity. Washing the lids properly and keeping them dry and storing right when not using will also expand life span.
I use all sorts of jars with different sized lids. Any pickle onion jar is fair game.....lol

Haha ye I do have a few odds and sods jars 😂 Ye the problem is I don't look after them well enough so was hoping the plastics would deal with the neglect a little better! (Mainly proper drying)

Hello all, i'm not new here. I've been scouting around lurking as 'guest' user for a while now how ever one thing has been bugging me out and thats related to the spawn/sub amount for a tub that i'm looking to buy: https://www.plasticboxshop.co.uk/home-storage-c1/bedroom-and-bathroom-organisation-c16/wham-crystal-boxes-c99/pack-of-5-30-litre-crystal-plastic-storage-boxes-with-lids-p3856/s7458?cid=GBP&gclid=EAIaIQobChMImOi3nKL23gIVi7HtCh3-4QZ3EAQYAyABEgJrW_D_BwE I've tried using the sub calc but i keep on loosing my marbles. Can anyone help me out? If i was to do a 1:2 ratio, achieving 3inches of sub how much grams would i need for spawn and bulk? The reason why i ask is because i want to make it efficient for future use. Weight up spawn/bulk, pasteurise, drop into bag, sterilise then onto the next one. On my previous attempts i was getting several kilos per tub

Nowadays im doing more grain work and G2G transfers. The polly fill sticking into the jars has always annoyed me so ive been looking for some synthetic filter disks. I dont really want to buy 50 right now (i dont even have that many jars yet i dont have £50 for it atm) but the cheapest price for one i can find is £3.50.
Anyone know where i can get around 10 for a better price? I have wide mouth jars.
these are the cheapest i found so far: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Synthetic-Filter-Discs-0-22-m-Specifically-for-70mm-and-90mm-Mason-Jar-Lids/132733544766?hash=item1ee789293e:m:mA71VPyvwCue6_2miK6zahQ:rk:1:pf:0

Dude you can make like 9 out of 1 filter. Put a penny on and draw round it keeping the circles as close a possible to get as many as you can out of it. Should get at least 8, I think I got 9 out of 1.
Then drill a 4mm hole in your lid and stick it on with silicone. Make sure you have it sealed all the way round and that you don't block yer hole.
