Should I pay this ticket? What if I dont? *update on page 1*

So I got a speeding ticket yesterday...9 over in a construction zone. But heres the thing:
I just noticed on my copy of the ticket, half of the information is wrong. They got all the vehicle information right. License plate number and so on, but none of my information. Wrong name, address, drivers license number, social security number...pretty much everything. So as far as Im concerned, I never even got a ticket....right? But what if somebody else has all my information on their ticket?
So I have this guys address, DL number, social security number and everything. Im kinda pissed that somebody out there might have mine.
*Update*
I went into the court building, told the cashier what had happened, she told me to take a seat and wait for the county clerk to talk wtih me. I went into his office, handed him the ticket and explained what had happened. Immediately he was like . I never even told him my real name. He dismissed it, told me to go home, and give him a call if anything comes in the mail. Done and done.

Call the department and tell them, they'll straighten it out. Don't just let it go it'll get more expensive.

Sounds like it would be too big of a gamble to risk failure to appear in court over.

I wouldn't risk it.
Just pay the thing, get your info straightened up. Don't let this drag on.

But what if they dont have my information? What if they goofed, and wrote some guy 2 tickets? How can I get a warrant for failure to appear, when I dont have a notice to appear?
The way I see it now, this isnt my ticket. I dont have one.

The police handed you the ticket, yes?
If you go to court, do you think the judge is going to take your excuse of "well sir the officer did hand me this ticket, but it didn't have my name on it so it can't possibly be mine".
Also, they got your license plate #. Those speed cameras and red light cameras will bill you as the owner of the license plate, regardless if you were driving.
Either way, I see you as screwed.

Ok so what about the fact that they gave me all this dudes private info, and somebody else may have mine? I hate to sound like a whiny soccer mom, but rookie cop fucked up. It kinda worries me, and pisses me off that he gave all my private information to somebody. Pretty sure theres something illegal about that...

Those speed and red light cameras you refer to have been ruled unconstitutional in quite a few states, on top of that they are civil tickets. Personally I would never pay them.
I don't know OP I would talk to a lawyer or just go to court and explain what happened, you may get a cool judge who will let you off.

Yes, I am aware, however in VA and Maryland they are everywhere.
Speeding is a civil ticket too, is it not? It isn't a criminal ticket, because you go to traffic court not criminal court when you get a ticket for speeding.
The exception to this would be VA, where if you are over 20mph it automatically defaults to felony reckless driving.

You're right, I just meant that those factors combined would lead me to likely not pay it.
Virginia cops are assholes about speeding in my experience, I've passed cops going 15 over more than once here in WV and not got pulled. Guess there are other reasons for that though.

QFT
I got a felony reckless driving charge for getting into an accident due to my brakes failing, while they were perfectly fine.
I called the police, too.
Although I guess it depends on where you are in terms of speed. Our highways are 15 over is the limit, go under and get buttfucked by the car behind you, go over and get buttfucked by the cops.
Either way, a lot of buttfucking goes down.

Well after a little googling, its grounds for a dismissal. Some people have gotten off with as little as wrong date of birth. Pretty much everything on this ticket is incorrect.
I aint payin sheeeet.
